Bum is exhausted. He can't keep 'em down.

Is worth stating that this has been a pitiful showing by the offense?

From Baggs:

"Other than Revere’s catch on Belt, the Giants came nearest to a run in the fourth inning after Buster Posey hit a leadoff double and Joe Panik hit a two-out single. Third base coach Roberto Kelly held Posey at third base – a questionable decision, given that Revere’s arm is fringy and Gregor Blanco, who is batting .139 since the All-Star break and struck out four times a night earlier."

Miss the Flan Man at 3rd. Kelly, I don't know if he will ever get it at 3rd. And when can Blanco get "hurt" so we can get an OF who can hit back on the roster? This is beyond pathetic, as we passed pathetic weeks ago.

45-263 with RISP since 7/1. Good luck to this lineup facing Fernandez tomorrow. Tough series coming up in Miami.

Should be 4-2 instead of 2-4 on this trip. 6-15 now since the break, with no series wins in 4 weeks.

With 51 games left, at what point in time does this become more than just a slump? This team is consistently playing passive and not to lose.

BTW, Span has done just about enough now to get himself taken out of the leadoff spot. The leadoff man should be able to get a damn bunt down to move the runners up in a key spot, rather than feebly striking out.

Bumgarner: 9 ER allowed in the last 5 starts - all losses by the Giants. Last win was 4 weeks ago today vs. AZ.

So the offense DID decide that their accomplishments were enough to rest on for a few days!

At least we know they have it in them.

One game....

Time now to also watch the WC standings - lead STL by 5 and MIA by 4.

7 games lost to L.A. since 6/27 and 5.5 since the break. All of the buffer that was built up has nearly gone down the toilet in 3 garbage weeks of pathetic baseball.

The pitching was great, of course, but the lack of situational hitting again cost them the game.
