Your vitriol isnt well placed here. outside of the Romopocalypse vs Colorado, the pitching has done their job during this swoon. It's pretty much the O's fault. 2011 again.

For reals. Even if our pitchers are shutting out the other team, can we even score one run to win the game? LOL. We can't even score against Eric Stults.

34-11 when scoring 1st (.756)

13-28 when not scoring 1st (.317)

It is IMPERATIVE that we score early, and no one on this team seems capable of hitting int he first inning, or any other inningng.

Opening game loss in a series. Again.

Wasted effort by Cain.

In the last 12 games:

Giants are hitting .239 as a team, with 2 home runs, and 2 two-out RBI's

Giants hitting .136 with RISP with 62 LOB in those 12 games

Have allowed 45 runs

Have scored 23 runs

Have been shut out 4 times.

Record is 3-9

In those 12 games, when scoring 1st, the Giants are 3-1

When not, 0-8

Uggggggleeeeeeeee baseball.

We should in NO WAY, shape, or form, be buyers this year.

Again, in the what looks increasingly unlikely event they get their shit together in the next 3 weeks, we can give it a shot and pick up spme guys. Remember there is still the wildcard, which is what we started the season thinking we'd be shooting for.

The fat lady isnt singing yet, but she's clearing her throat.

TL;DR

I know this is how you cope, and we all gotta do it somehow, but we do know they suck, we dont need the numbers to remind us.

Stultz throws a mask on the Giants 2-0

No fireworks today for the Giants. Third time shut out in last five games. I just see zero emotion from this team right now. More red ass's needed on this team. Giants usually pound Stultz and today they bowed before him like servants. I know the team wants to stay positive and they should but you also have to have fire in your belly to win and right now the fire is out. Way too laid back for getting shut out like they have. OK Giants lose 2-0 with Hudson taking the ball Saturday. There is nothing wrong with getting pissed off and showing it out there on the field. Someone has to provide a spark. Leadership is needed from the leaders. Maybe the whole team except Huddy should get ripped tonight watching the fireworks. I know I will be.

Go Giants !!

Stokes, if you stop posting the numbers, message them to me. I enjoy them

I didnt mean to be a dick about it, it just makes it hurt more to see the suck quantified.

But dont change anything on my account.

I don't think you came off as one (granted it wasn't directed to me)

Just a lot of frustration. Our "clubhouse" is on edge, we need this slump busted!

Wonder if they have an emoticon where we are slamming beer bottles or smashing a gatorade jug with a bat, out of frustration

Cross Samardzija/Hammel off potential SP targets (not that we would necessarily buy or need SP)

Rosenthal reporting A's in serious talks to land one of the two

Well, with all the $$$ the A's are screwing out of Oakland/Alameda in the new coliseum contract, they will have plenty of money to spend on players ...

No worries. I have been tracking the seasons in Excel since 2010. One way to keep my geek card current. I noticed early last year the RISP issue. This year it has returned, but also the exceptional record shen scoring 1st. That % is always higher than scoring 2nd, but this year seems exceptional.

I take no pleasure in posting the numbers. OK, i do take peverse pleasure in them. Some of them seem to back up my hunches of how things are going.

I chose not to watch/listen/post today until late in the game. Glad i missed it. Who is going to be the one who does the Mark Grace slump buster?

The contrast between the first 60 games and the last 25 has been stark. And the first 60 have made the last month especially brutal to watch. They are better than this, aren't they? I keep waiting for signs of offensive life, and see none at all.

Things will turn around.

Home runs:

Apr 32, about 1/game

May 29, 1/game

Jun 14, about 1 every 2 games

Jul 1, 1 every 4 games (sss tho)

When they were hitting homers in apr and may, I would look at the rankings and think to myself, jeez how long can they keep this up? We were not supposed to be a HR powerhouse. When the homers stopped, the wheels came off.

It's really simple. The Giants need Pagan. Our slide coinciding with his trip to the DL is the exact same deal as last year. It's just one of those things. He's one of the 2-3 guys this lineup can't survive without. The other for sure one is Buster Posey. I know we started losing games with Pagan but i chalked that up to a hot Nationals team and then we blew those games vs. Colorado...but nothing looked bleak until Pagan stopped playing.

Why is he so important?

Dogs win 9-0

Giants haven't scored 9 runs total in the last six games.

OK, I will stop. When the Giants start hitting.

How in the world can they get shutout by Eric 5.36 Stultz? Just plain mystifying.
