In playing style, there are similarities. But there are also pretty huge differences...

2010 had a killed bully. 2016 is almost making the kennel look good.
2010 was a collection of rag-tag cast offs. 2016 is a collection of rather high-profile, proven winners.
2010 was a HR hitting offense. 2016 is a pesky, rally offense.
2010 had expectations of being a contender only. 2016 has World Series aspirations.

That said, I get what you are saying. Strong in 1-run games and VERY reliant on starting-pitching.
