He got 20 boards.

Most points the Stones have given up since Jordan in 87. At the Silverdome, in OT.

:hail:

Sportscenter said that's only happened twice in the last 40 years. The other player was Shaq, who had 60+ and 20+ in a game in the early 00s

Hell of a performance.

One day he'll be so good that he will be able to carry a team filled with role players and a below average coach (his situation now) to the playoffs on his own. Only getting better, still only 22 years old.

and I'll bet none of them were against Bill Russell.

:D

When Wilt went head to head vs. Russell -- he averaged 29 points and 29 rebounds / game. (actually 28.7)

Wilt scored 62 one time vs. Russell. (and had 50 against him 6 other times)

Wilt >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Russell

Russell isn't even in the same league

An interesting question is what would Wilt do today if he were in the NBA in his prime.

If you accept that Russell was one of the best defense centers of all time ... and that Wilt averaged 29 points per game vs. Russell (and an amazing 28.7 rebounds / game) ... then I think you'd have to conclude that Wilt would still be a beast today ... probably averaging close to 30 points (or over that) today.

Yeah most likely. Guys are more athletic today but Wilt was freak specimen with very long arms, I have no doubts he would dominate in todays game especially since there aren't that many good centers in todays game. Russell would be a role player probably, a good rebounder and defensive player off the bench, he wouldn't score much though.
