Good luck to him. Another Pat getting rich off of a BB scheme? We shall see?

Too much money for a non shut down type.

BB will go find another quality DB in the late rounds or an UDFA

Jackson said he wanted to be the highest paid CB. Now the Chargers think they got a discount.... Sheesh.

He was very good! Probably the best #2 CB in football.....

Probably worth that in today's market. We have our own market standards......

You pay where you play.
As someone who just paid taxes to 2 states last year and 3 the year before, I disagree. It is complicated!

You must file where you live.
You must file non-resident where you work.
If you resident state charges you taxes, you use that as a credit for where you worked taxes.

If the taxes where you work are higher, you must pay the difference.
Even this is oversimplified.....

Taking these obligations into account, Robert Raiola, director of the sports and entertainment group at PKF O'Connor Davies, told FOX Business that Brady will owe about $19.5 million in federal income taxes on his $50 million guaranteed contract, as well as $986,000 in payroll and jock taxes.

Their play is their work...

So they must file for every state they "work" in and therefore, earn money in.

They must file in the state they live in 1st. They then file in the states they worked in, taking a credit for what they paid in their state of residence.
They must pay the state taxes which are higher. If you live in NJ, you would pay the highest. If you live in Florida and play in NJ, it is like getting a pay cut!

By law, no double dipping on taxes. His total cannot exceed the taxes in the more expensive state for game played.
If player lives and works in Florida, he would get at least 8 games state tax free.
Same for Texas teams , Tennessee Titans, Florida teams, Seahawks, Raiders. Eight teams get a discount!

Patriots could live in New Hampshire and not pay taxes there. They would have to pay taxes to Massachusetts Because Mass taxes are higher than zero taxes for NH. Get it?

Gets even more complicated for the London games!
