Either way, it boils down to the same thing. Someone's gotta give Lebron at least a little help or the Cavs could be in trouble.

The Cavs ARE in trouble if they don't get more from their other players. Maybe Lebron wills them through this series but he won't do it through 3.

East is soft, they'll be fine

Pretty much...it's going to be hard to beat the Cavs 4 times but we know playoff BB is more about matchups and thru 2 games, the Pacers look like a confident group on the Cavs home floor.

Now that the real NBA season has started...we'll see.

I have my doubts they'll get thru this series if Love's injury hampers him even the slightest. With how that roster is, the Cavs are absolutely terrible without Love. He's gonna play thru it but in the past, Love playing injured often times looks the same as if Love wasn't playing at all. Lebron is gonna have to average a triple double with 45 pts every game if Love is a zero.

I am taking Cavs in 4. I actually think this is the most lopsided first round series. Crazy that a 4/5 matchup falls in that category, but it is what I believe.

Dumbass...

I don't need the I told you so threads. Sometimes I am right, sometimes I am wrong (not that often, LOL).

as i said in a previous post- this Pacers team has done nothing but defy expectations since October and that does not seem to be stopping now.

It really seems like a close-knit group of guys that like eachother. They seem to have a bunker mentality and are definitely not afraid. Its a team that is deep- and a team that is very solid defensively on the perimeter with guys like Oladipo, Joseph, Stephenson. Besides Love the Cavs really do not have the personnel to take advantage of the Pacers weaker interior defense.

IF the Pacers keep staying at home on the Cavs 3 pt shooters and singling LeBron- LeBron is going to have to have games close to what he did Wednesday night unless something else happens.

Huge game tonight. If Cavs win they probably win this series in 6. Pacers win and this'll stay interesting on if they can actually knock Cleveland off.

I think the Cavs will be a very good game tonight and i think a couple of the role players will come through. They have had some time to adjust to the playoffs---- and I think that going away from home might actually help some of the role players as they might not put as much pressure of themselves.

Do you think that's sustainable? I mean, I know Lebron is an athletic freak, but all of the miles he's got on his body and the fact that he just finished a season where he played the most minutes in the league, has to take it's toll sometime...doesn't it? :noidea:

you would think so---- but, unless i am missing something--- the normal rules just dont seem to apply to Mr. LeBron Raymone James.

It's the strategy I'd employ. It's something that Atlanta did to the Magic awhile back when they still had Dwight.

Force Lebron to beat you and stay home on the shooters and pray Lebron tires out where he keeps driving to the bucket. Keying in on Lebron opens up the offensive potential for Cleveland and allows others to get into a groove. Lebron's at his most dangerous when you give him options of getting others involved.

And he's more than capable of doing it again. This isn't JJ Redick or Jrue Holiday exploding for 40 points.

This wasn't an anomoly because LeBron scored efficiently at will. He does that every game. It was an anomaly because he took more shots and created for others less, which is what this particular game required.

This was just the 4th time in the last 15 games that LeBron took that many shots. The other times? 40 points, 41 points, and 44 points. So lets not act like LeBron won't do this again, if the Pacers keep extending the invitation.
You're not listening.

Nobody is arguing whether or not LBJ can do it again. What most are saying is it's problematic that he has to do this IN ORDER TO WIN A GAME in a series against the Pacers. What is also being said is this is most likely the ONLY series where this strategy will work. Most importantly, why would you want your best player gassed & limping into the 2nd round where the competition gets better?
