whelp, I guess I should be grateful that JS is forcing me to work remotely instead of wasting time following the game.
My employers thank you Jeff.
My employers thank you Jeff.
And this game is FAR from over.
AM baseball for a team flying east from Denver.Mike F.=Cy Young???
Can we get some friggin' hits??
That is nice, but I don't really care about pitch counts for late-inning relievers.5 pitch inning for Lawman.
After a few 20 pitch innings this game I felt a "yes" was indicated for that quick one. A bright spot if you will. That is nice, but I don't really care about pitch counts for late-inning relievers.
Starters and long relievers are the only time that metric matters, IMHO.
This could really be a lost season for Duffy. His advanced metrics with the bat have been very good, just a LOT of attem balls which has killed his productivity. Now a POTENTIAL broken arm.
Kinda related...
One of the problems with a lineup full of pesky hitters instead of HR guys... You are a slave to BABIP.
The team is exhausted. You can hear the exhaustion in K&K's voices.I'd like to track down last season's hit chart for him. My WAG is that he was very good at going the other way. This season, most teams are shifting the opposite way, and he is making a ton of outs on hard hit balls. Going to have to learn to pull the ball a little more, but it is a completely different approach to hitting. Hitting oppo gives you the longest time to see the ball and swing (late). Pulling the ball means you are swinging early.
I hope Duffman is OK.
And how the hell are we losing to the worst team in all of baseball, and looking bad as we do it?
Ya got your bloop.Well, two on, one out. Another bloop and a blast and it's a new game.
