Sorry, it was kinda confusing.

Just something that has been kinda "bothering" me the last week or so. Playing Miami, and seeing there awesome young OF planted the seed.

While it would be nice to produce a stud OF, clearly it's not a necessary condition for winning championships. Can't be the best at everything.

Absolutely right.

And the Giants can currently field a completely homegrown infield, pitcher included, that consists of 5 at-worst fringe All-star worthy players, two of which are near locks and another just under that.

I am happy with the production. It is just odd that a single organizational weakness can last that long.

And this from the org that has produced two of the 10 (or so) best outfielders in the history of the game (Mays and Ott)

They mentioned that in the post game (actually his 4th, if you count the Pittsburgh game).

Still surprising that both of his previous slams came in games where he did not get 2 more RBI.

But no team in the history of the MLB that is coming off a 3-in-5 has started the season 4-10 only to get back to .500 in time for their starting RF to come off the DL from a broken arm... And won the Workd Series.
