I brought up Taylor Hall and Mav brought up Johnathan Drouin both were on the list in the story.

Either one of them would probably require not just the pick, but a couple of prospects also.

Druin would be a nice, asset but what else do you think we would have to offer. Not sure the 13th pick would be enough.

HockeyBuzz.com - Bill Meltzer - Quick Hits: Assistant Coach Change, Injuries, and More

Letting Mullen go. Seems like they're letting the wrong assistant go. Lappy was a solider of a player, but so far all he's proven as a coach is that he's good at putting out a garbage PK unit. Mullen consistently had one of the best PPs over the last 5-7 years.

Also sounded like Hexy is looking for a short term veteran goalie to be the starter.

Scott Darling or Brian Elliott, would be good IMO

Do you think they would go for the 13th pick Weiss and MacDonald?
Depends on the who is, unfortunately that's a lot of contract I believe, if not then yes but I'm not sure too many teams are looking for Weiss, yet I think MacDonald may have sold himself a bit this year.

Dont want to leave Mase out of this he gets hurt more than the average goalie also.

Probably true, but mostly he just shrinks on the big stage or when he's being pressured by another goalie for the starting spot.

Here are some very intriguing numbers:

The lifetime regular season stats (close to 700 combined games) for Neuvy and Mase are identical. They both have a 2.68 GAA and .911 SV%.

In the postseason, Mase has a 3.37 GAA and .895 SV%. Neuvy has a 1.92 GAA and .933 SV%.

To me, that combined with how much they were going to cost us led us to sign Neuvy and let Mase go.

As long as it works for our team im good with any signing. Im tired of not making the playoffs on a consistant basis.

Quite frankly, I know this doesn't mean much now, but I'll be very surprised if we miss the playoffs again next season.

Too much talent and a lot of familiarity/experience with many of the players, plus a rather young, energetic group of guys.
