Big win for the Blue Jackets

Gotta keep pace and take care of our games.

Florida also wins.

New Jersey in San Jose tomorrow
Columbus in MSG

Everyone in action tomorrow. Our players need to just go out and worry about winning our game instead of looking at the standings. We can analyze it, however. Just beat Detroit and odds are one of these others teams will fall short.

Florida is in a really tough spot with this being the 1st of four back to back scenarios to close out their season. They need to win all three of their games in hand, plus they play a whopping 13 games in 21 days. To top it off, 6 of their next 7 games are on the road. I don't care who they are playing, that's a challenging schedule.

In comparison, we have 9 games in those same 21 days and only one back to back situation.

We should get both Elliott and Neuvy back by the end of March. Then it will be interesting to see who gets the starts and who we use in the playoffs.

Jake says 92 points will get it done this year for a playoff spot, if that is true we need 7 points out of a possible 18. That should be an easy task.

I have to disagree with him though. That's a pretty low number for this season. We will probably need 12 points out of 18, at least.

I will agree with this 100%. The way it looks is we need to win get 2 points out of 6 of the last 9 games.

The amount of high level competition we'll have in training camp next season will be absolutely insane. Guys like Lehtera, Weise, Raffl and Weal will probably be fighting for their roster spots. Gudas and MacDonald too even. Perhaps a couple of these guys even get traded away in the offseason to make space for more rookies.
