Good that Lyon got a few minutes in before his first start.
A loss tonight would make it three in a row and it would be time to regroup against the Sens. A win tonight would put us right back into the right frame of mind.

Can someone explain to me why we use Lehtera on the PK. I have to think Raffl is a better defensive forward than him.

Not to mention 16 shifts is to much playing time for him.
Only thing I can think of is to give better players like Roo, Simmer, and Coots a break so they don't get hurt?

I don't like to do this, but that game last night was choked away entirely by three of our players. That's Neuvirth, Manning and Hagg in that order. Allow me to explain below.

The first goal against is on Neuvy entirely. Here's an idea. Maybe cover the puck up when it's in your crease? Just a thought! With the second goal against, Goulbourne chooses a less than ideal time to change, but Manning is the defender who is caught way out of position on the breakaway. Again on the third goal against in which we finally lost the lead, Manning and Hagg combine to cover nobody, which allows Eller and Burakovsky to score an easy one with no help needed. I like how Patrick is sitting in the penalty box for the fourth goal against for having his stick held by Wilson in the offensive zone. That was a bunch of fucking bullshit to end up being the game winner. On the actual goal though, Hagg loses his stick, fails to take Lehtera's and then they combine to leave Oshie wide open in a prime scoring area. Fucking horrific. Overall, these three guys were not ready to play a competitive hockey game though. I think we saw later that Manning got into a scrap simply because he was pissed at how poorly he was playing.

Lyon can't be any worse than Neuvy was last night if he does indeed start tonight, which I am sure he will.

Lyon looked very steady in net hope he stays just like that for tonight.
God I hope you two are right.
Neuvirth is the de-facto No. 1 goalie for the Flyers (24-18-8) after starter Brian Elliott landed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury. It is expected that Neuvirth will start Thursday in New Jersey.

Put Raffl out there instead of Lehtera all he does is stand there. He doesn't move his feet and doesn't block any shots what good is he doing out there. Try Leier or Goulborne at least they have some speed to get out to a shooter. We are 29th in the PK it cant hurt.

Yea this is still a big Achilles heal for this team, that will be the difference in the playoff(if we get there) against real good teams.

Yea at this point in his career that should never be that open twice in a game lol.
Well its his first game i thought if we got out to a two goal lead when we were up 3-2 he would've been more relaxed. Cant wait for Elliot our MVP to come back.

Giant choke job. We're better than the Devils, but refuse to kill penalties at even an average pace and leave a defenseman wide open in the slot on the game tying goal late in the 3rd period. Lyon wasn't really ready for this moment, but that's no excuse, it should've been a regulation win.

I'm still not sure what penalties Patrick and Raffl were flagged for in the 1st period, but the penalty kill has to be much better regardless. Why are we leaving one half of the ice entirely empty for their one sniper Palmieri to walk in and pick his spot? Even after he scored, we kept leaving that open...Lol Are you fucking kidding me!? It's like when we leave OV or Stamkos wide open, but to a lesser extent.

I got an idea. You know the top trigger man on the other team? Well, let's leave him wide open when they have an extra man.

I honestly think there is a serious communication problem when Nuevy or another goal tender is in net, Elliot seems to have a better handle on this, I say this because every time they get scored on they all look at each other like" was I in the right spot"? No, no you weren't lol!

He played very well in the 2nd, but then again the whole team did, the 3rd, not so much lol.
