Seems this year nothing is for fucking sure. ;)

But we usually do dinner downtown. I had asked if watching the game and playing poker at the hotel was an option but it seems, like with everything else, we can't get a consensus. Staying downtown for dinner enables us all to make it back to hotel easily afterwards. Aleta and I went to Old Shillaleghs(sp?) after dinner and drinks last year. Loved that it was a short walk back to hotel but hated that I had so much fun there. Ruined my tailgating with a hangover.

So I guess we need everyone to chime in. Orrrrr we just roll with it and do whatever. As long as everyone has fun it doesn't matter to me.

I vote we don't eat at that same BBQ place this year. The food was awesome, but the same thing two years in a row is enough for me.

My vote goes to Pegasus, 'cause I love Greek food and apparently they have flaming cheese...

Parthenon is another greek restaurant in the greektown district, if Pegasus is filled up. Both have the flamin' cheese and light it up at your table with the OPA.

If you choose to go to Slow's -- just an FYI -- it isn't walking distance from the Greektown Hotel. I shouldn't say it isn't, but it is roughly 2-3 miles from Greektown, so it is a bit of a hike if you plan on walking.

If you go to Slow's -- try out the Yardbird. It is delicious.

I'd be down for Slow's because they're world-famous, but I still think we should go a different route besides barbecue this year. I love the stuff, but we should expand our menus a bit. There's some awesome soul food places in the D as well if Greek isn't agreeable for everyone. Fish Bones is always a good meal as well, though a bit more on the pricey side.

What do you guys who live down there recommend?

Went there a couple weeks ago. Big menu, nice prices, lovely ambiance, old guys with big noses and accents, its a good place to eat. They also have a variety of flaming cheese. If we bring hevo, they'll even have a Flamin' Hoosier. (I was gonna go with Meow on that one, but he still has possession of the tickets.)

I'd like to eat in MexicanTown some time this weekend. Rita and I haven't been over there yet this summer. Lots of options, Good food, pretty cheap. Not much of a drive from the hotel. I don't care when, but Flautas are calling my name at some point. Or maybe some enchiladas. Or some botanas... I'm hungry.

Tailgate ideas fellas? What are we bringing to grill/eat? Do we even have a small grill? This is important info we need to settle on also.

As far as food Saturday night, I'm down for the Greek place. Are we in agreement then on poker and ND-scUM game afterwards?

A place that has the best of both world's is Sweet Water Tavern on Congress. They have unbelievable chicken wings, but also Southern/Soul food on the menu. And if someone doesn't like any of that -- they have good ol' american bar food (burger/fries). Their ribs are also damn good.

Ate at Xochimilco's last weekend. Mexican Town is definitely not the best part to be hanging out at, at night, but the food is really good.

That's the first spot I ever ate in MT. And it's definitely still my favorite. I've never been there at night...

Count Amanda and I in on the mexican food. I love authentic mexican cooking...

Pegasus followed by poker and the game sounds good to me. Can we keep the buy-in low, like $10 or $20 though?

So Saturday night is planned out, but what about the day?

Are we playing whirly ball or going to CJ Barrymores? Or something else entirely?

I haven't heard back from Meow on confirmation of anything. I texted him last night and today so I'm still waiting.
