i blame Kap but overall its the a Oline. we have the worst Oline in the league. no QB has ever had a winning record with the worst Oline. Kap is #3 to blame. 1st oline and then coaching staff

The order of fault doesn't matter. The inept offense is a team wide issue going from the coaching staff to the players.

On the bright side, great job by the defense today.

Its tough to play the game without a quarterback.
tough to play with out an Oline. Kap was pressured 70% of the time. no QB would do well with this Oline. it is what it is. Front office screwed up. they screwed up this whole team.

QB driven league. That won't change. True that the OL sucks. Many teams have done well with a similar OL.

Because those teams can win because of their quarterback not despite him like the 49ers must do.

Not sure if that is true. Give some examples. At least we're in a no-lose situation. Either our current QB situation gets better (whether that's an improved Kap or a Gabbert who is much better than he was before) or our current QB situation continues to suck and we get a high draft pick. We expected to have a terrible record this season anyway.

not true. no QB ever had a winning record with last rank Oline. No QB made playoffs with bottom 5 Oline rank. Its all about Oline and then QB.

Kap is not a great QB. It might be better for the Niners to lose out anyway.

Russell Wilson

I don't think the Seattle OL was ever this bad. Also, Russell Wilson is a near-great QB who simply has a skill that Kap does not have. Wilson is quick and elusive in the pocket. Kap seems to be too big and slow to be elusive when he faces pressure. Kap will never be good behind a bad o-line.

The 9ers have been trying that for decades now

Just think all that time they put into developing Alex Smith and while he's not necessarily putting up better numbers than Kaep in Kansas City he's not any worst and seems to be a much better leader. We could have kept him likely on a cheaper contract and traded Kaep for a #1 pick that offseason. Talent doesn't mean that much at the NFL level where everyone is talented. You need smart players and leaders of which Kaepernick is neither.

Think about what you just posted and get back to me as to why Kap might not be the issue. ( Remember that the Seahawks have kept near the top with RW and the OL he has had)

Well stated. BTW I think I saw that Smith put over 300 yrds passing today
