Setting themselves up for a rebuild, looks like.Willis, Borland, Davis, Smith all bailed out saving lots off the cap. Dropping Lee seems like an odd move considering your new found cap room.

Hope your right. I have a avatar wager on it. I'm starting to get worried.Man.....SF is a dumpster fire this year. But at least they aren't the Browns.
Watch the 49ers go 14-2 this season.

You guys are in denial!
They secretly went out and hired the greatest Fantasy Football coach in history!
Tomsula has won his $ league in 15 of the last 20 years.
What guys?So is he getting rid of the guys that cost him money those other 5 years?
Yeah. His leg will get tired in Cleveland from all the punts.poor andy
Pretty much!Superbowl!
Not so odd IMO. 49ers drafted a cheap replacement and the Browns who going to punting a whole hell of a lot got a great but aging punter. Win, win. Don't poo poo a 7th round pick, they help on occasion.Gotta be one of the oddest trades in history in what is turning out to be one of the most scrutinized off-seasons in history. No real issue with the move if the 49ers have some substantial cap room returned, but if you're going to only get a future 7th rounder for the guy you would be nearly as well off just to cut him and let the player have a chance to go where he prefers. If I were the player, I think I would have been elated when my agent told me I had been traded out of SF, and then it would have been wiped away immediately when I learned my new team.
