Clayton just said it was a 2017 pick. That's practically nothing at all.

Not to be an ass but the 2017 pick is all ready mentioned in the OP. I agree it's nothing, have the Browns already traded their 2016 7th rounder? Why the 2017 pick?

It was a money dump for the 49ers. Save $2.25 mill on cap space this year. He is owed over 12 mill in the next 4 years and his production was down as he is getting older. Averaged under 40 yards per punt last season. And buy all accounts the rookie has a huge leg with hang time over 5 seconds.

So it was a great trade by the niners. It just means getting rid of a player many fans like

At this rate the Browns might win more games than the Niners next season so he is probably lucky.

Obviously he demanded a trade. He wanted out of that dumpster fire ASAP.

At this point that limb you are walking out on is looking more and more like a branch.

I don't understand this at all. Lee is only 33 and despite a bit of a decline in 2014 was one of the top punters in 2013 (was top 5 in net).

I get your team is in rebuild but why the hell are you selecting punters in the 5th round (2015 draft) and then trading a great punter for a 2017 7th rounder? The ****!?

Pretty sure Baalke is our next Al Davis at this point. WTF is he doing?

Feel bad for the 9ers at this point. I was there. I was kind of there, Tim Ruskell and Jim Mora. But at least we had Allen who was like, "**** these clowns." You guys need to somehow 'Fight Club' Baalke.

This was a salary dump through and through. 4 yrs/12 mil is owed to Lee. 5th rd punters cost $4.95, hoarding cap space for extensions to guys like Aldon. Still sucks to trade away our team MVP during the early Alex Smith years.

Willis, Borland, Davis, Smith all bailed out saving lots off the cap. Dropping Lee seems like an odd move considering your new found cap room.

Lee is a weapon that the Browns will surely utilize. I think it's a great trade on their part.

What the hell is in the water in SF? Is there water in SF?
