Few things stand out.. Boldin is a stud and some other WRs were wide open on plays.

I only saw Patton and Crabs open in the Highlights and IMO the decision to go to Boldin over Patton was the right one. Boldin gained 50+ yards and Patton would have gained maybe 20.

You make some good points throughout this thread but when you say an opinion is fact (which you have said a few times), i.e. stating a conclusion as support for your conclusion ("Kaepernick is better because it's a fact that he is better." or "anyone who knows football knows that Kaepernick is better"), it's the worth the same as making stuff up. You wouldn't accept someone from the other side of any argument in your life saying that. Circular logic at best. It ranks right up there with straw man arguments and I am rubber you are glue arguments.

U might be right but its hard to argue the facts that Kap has done. Thats why I think its a fact that Kap is better then Smith. U are right its an opinion but its a really bad opinion when u look at all the facts.

Kap wins and reason 49ers win in the playoffs is because of Kap and Defense. He has had some great games already in his young career.

Out of the 8 QBs in the NFL who have won a SB I would have to say Flacco is prolly the worst. I would have Wilson right ahead of him.

1. Brady
2. Peyton
3. Rodgers
4. Brees
5. Eli
6. Big Ben
7. Wilson
8. Flacco

I agree with this.

Any word on Boldin? Haven't heard anything since York flying to Miami.

I would say that Smith was the reason we won the Saints game and both NFCC's lost were team losses (your mention of Kaep's first half (and defensive lapses) and Smith's two TDs with no INTs (and special teams disasters)). As far as 2012 goes, I think that Harbaugh is a good enough coach that we would've had a chance with Smith to go to the Super Bowl. I have already explained my rationale, anything beyond that is just agree to disagree.

Yours is a good opinion and I don't even necessarily disagree, but it's an opinion. It could also be a good opinion that they're the same or Smith is better at some things at this stage of their experience. Whether those things are more valuable to one is an opinion. You don't need to label anyone's opinion is being good or bad. Everyone should be respectful of one another and of the players.

FWIW...Heath Evans reporting that the Seahawks should make a run for Boldin this offseason. That would just cap off a great offseason for the 49ers. [ame=""][/ame]

They'll only have a chance to if he doesn't re-sign with the Niners before 3/11.

I'm more concerned about the 8th. We need to have him locked up by then.

Refresh my mind. What is the significance of the 8th?

The allowed talking of teams and agents without contracts being signed.

Duh. Thank you. I was thinking some contract stuff, but yeah, we don't want him (his agent) even talking to Seattle (about Boldin).

Funny thing is, as typing his name, I don't ever think of him as the Arizona Cardinals' guy, only the our guy or the former Raven - but he had a lot of good production years in Arizona.
