Chances are both injuries didn't happen in the same game. That's the side I'm taking

We know both injuries didn't happen in the same game.

Here's a fun little game to play though.

Did Aldon Smith's responsibilities change with the injury to Justin Smith? Was he asked to do more in terms of defending the run?

Why do you present this as if Aldon Smith would have 0 sacks on the season if Justin Smith didn't play at all?

So he got 9 sacks off those stunt plays? Interesting. I think you're underestimating Cameron Wake like every else because he plays in a small market.

Where the hell did you pull "9 sacks off those stunt plays" from?

Sick said he had 9 sacks that had NOTHING to do with Justin Smith (if you've read Sick's post on this in the past, including in this thread, that means he got 9 sacks lining up on the left side).

Is it your belief that he only got 1.5 sacks from the right side without running a TE-stunt with Justin?

Watch Chicago Bears vs. San Francisco 49ers [11/19/2012] - NFL.com

If it's not the right video, in the sidebar you want the one titled "All Hail Aldon."

That's all 5.5 sacks Aldon had vs Chicago. Not one of them came from the TE-stunt, or any other games with JS; 2.5 of them come from the left side of the DL. Of these 6 plays, 4 of them are Aldon going on 1 on 1 with an OT (pick a side). The 3rd sack looks like they tried to reverse the TE-stunt and have Aldon take the double team and he just pushes Rachal and the LT back to Campbell while Just loops around. The final sack is a 3 man rush where he beats a "double team" by getting inside of the RT before the OG can react and, in a 3 man rush, basically creates a clean shot on the QB where he is almost untouched.
