The little known 7 second violation turnover

Unreal that was so obviously not a 8 second violation.

How stupid are these refs? That rule is so freaking simple.

If the player is in the front court by the time the clock hits 15 it is not a violation

The shot clock starts at 24, so once it hits 16, that's 8 seconds. What am I missing here?

it was and 8 second violation but the nba is stupid and gives them 9 seconds. ref was really excited to make that call even though it was wrong

It might be the "curse of the MVP award night" syndrome.

I'm not surprised. Memphis defense is very good and considering that GSW is mainly a jump shooting team I expected a long series. I didn't think Conley would come back soo soon which is why I had Warriors in 5. If I knew Conley was going to play before game 3 I would have predicted a 6 game series

He wasn't still in the back court when it hit 15, he was in the front court. That's why it shouldn't have been a violation.

The NBA rule is correct when you sit and think about it though. If you call the violation at 16 it means you only giving them 7 seconds to get the ball over half court. Calling it at 15 seconds means you give them a full 8 seconds to get the ball over half court

Mainly a jump shooting team is incorrect. They do get to the paint too.

They never had anything go wrong since October..

I don't think there is any pressure on them yet. I think they'll really start feeling pressure if they lose game 3 knowing that if they lose game 4 their season is likely over. I doubt they'll feel any real pressure heading into game 3

Where are they ranked in fast break points? A lot of those points in the paints likely come on fast break buckets.

I wish the NBA broke down points in the paint in the half court offense. GSW half court offense is a ton of jumpshots

That would be 9 seconds, but if that's how the NBA enforces it, then I agree that they should be consistent and not call it at 8 seconds. Think about it. Shot clock starts at 24, and if you count down 23, 22, 21 . . . 16, that's 8 seconds.

I don't think so.

He always stated that he doesn't think jumpshooting team would win a championship. He thought the same of those Dwight Howard Magic teams that was a legit contender for 2-3 years
