If that were true they'd be #2.
The cutoff is betw#2, #4...it doesn't matter. The cutoff is between 4-5. If/when Georgia beats Auburn and LSU, I'd have no problem at all with them. They would have totally erased the big ass blemish they have and might even have the best resume period. Now, not so much. JMO.

The rankings right now are for entertainment only. They mean little.

They got the 4 best teams every time. The couple that were the outside looking in we found out weren't top 4 teams. They've done as good of a job as they could have to this point, I think most can agree

They get it right about something that should be irrelevant. Should a better team be picked even if less accomplished?

Because their wins are almost as good as UGA but their loss is far better. Both teams have better resumes than Bama
I forgot about the Iowa game. Have to agree then. Wins are pretty much equal, but better loss for PSU.

Yea but Bama beat Texas A&M, theyd probably be top 10 in any other conference, listening to how some of the SEC homers on here gloat about them.

Also, I figured Minnesota would have jumped the 1 loss Pac teams

Dude... I figured anywhere between 9-12 would be sufficient... now they're gonna be laughed at when they get their first loss.

Definitely.

Bama dropping out of the top 4 gives me hope they won't backdoor their way in again too.

Since when have you been opposed to being backdoored?

There's 0 legitimate reason to have UGA or Bama ahead of Penn State other than SEC bias. That said, it's irrelevant. If UGA wins out, including over LSU in the CCG, they have every right to be in the CFP.

Georgia, no question...that SC loss is BAD. Bama, you can kind of understand that they lost to the current #1...but as you say, things will sort out in a few more weeks.

Are you talking about this year? What don't you agree with about previous years? Nothing has been decided so this year is irrelevant to this point for the polls. All polls are a guess-fest. The AP is almost exactly the same as the CFP poll

The Big 12 is the weak spot right now, they will likely need chaos for Oklahoma to get in, but their best spot is Baylor going undefeated.

Won't happen. They might could actually beat Oklahoma once, but not twice, which is what they would need to do in order to get into the playoffs.

They'll be right back in the rankings after defeating those pesky Gamecocks this weekend

Oklahoma will have ranked opponents for 3 of their last 4 weeks. If they can make a few statements, they're going to be right there at the end.

Yeah true but they are still behind all the other 1 loss teams basically. Minnesota's schedule is just as tough. We will see if it is tough enough to pass Oregon or Utah...to this point the committee hates the Big 12 and doesn't think much of Oklahoma

I'd argue the committee loves the Big 12. They have five ranked teams, and three of them have three losses already. It would seem to me the committee believes in their strength, but needs to see more from Oklahoma. They know that they have plenty of tests remaining, while Oregon and Utah have none.

Big Twelve is going to eat its own. The two top teams right now play this weekend and will likely face off in the CCG. They run the risk of splitting those games, but even if one team swept it won't really move the needle. Baylor also has a dangerous game with Texas and Oklahoma has Bedlam.

My dispute is with picking teams especially according to who are four best teams. I'm not arguing the teams selected are right or wrong and could not have advanced based on actual rules.
