Justin Braun is our best defenseman right now. There i said it.

Taking Ellis out of the equation because he hasn't played but its not even close, Braun is head and shoulders above the rest.

It's truly amazing that without someone on our D-core effects everything that much. I just don't think it should be like that. We should have enough depth to cover for that and we are severely lacking. Our 4th line proves that point.

We just dont have enough offense to be one of the top teams. The first 5 games although it was glorious it was a mirage. We both knew this coming in and still got duped early on. We are one of the top 5 defensive teams in the league without our top defender almost all season. the only way for us to win is to play the really boring defensive style of hockey we have been seeing for the last couple of weeks. If it wasn't for hart we may be in last place right now.

Given his injury history, idk why we don't wait until Ellis is absolutely 100% before he returns. This clearly did not happen. Hell, did he even start the season 100% healthy? This dude played in 3 games and was injured. Now he played in 1 (with lesser minutes) and he's re-injured.

At this rate, he'll play 25 games this season at best. It's a giant frustration at this point obviously.

All of that said, get him completely healthy at this point. I don't care if it takes til January, just get it done.

We've beaten 3 of the arguably best teams in the league, 2 on their home Ice. Hart needs to keep being strong and the rest of the team hopefully wakes back up.

For the last 10 years we beat the good teams and lose to the scrubs. Its a pattern.
