I had to drive to Denver and caught the game on Sirius, it was a Canes broadcast, and I'll give those boys credit because they were praising the shit out of Hart the whole game. It's also exciting to just listen to play by play hockey.

Great win last night. Horrendous traffic on the way in so missed the entire 1st period. But good to get the W. I think I read the canes had something like 4.5 xG last night and Hart held them to 1. Just a fantastic performance by him.

It looks like the extremely high compete level of one Carter Hart has officially become infectious. Yeah, he almost single-handedly kept us in the game at times, but at other times I saw his teammates step up too when it was desperately needed.

No way in the world did I expect to get a win last night. The game was shaping up just like the one against Toronto except we didn't go away in the 3rd period. Great resiliency to really scratch and claw our way back into this game when it must've felt like a one goal deficit was more like two.

Don't you just love some of the irony here? Trash JvR and he scores 27 goals, second on the team. Braun has been considered more useless than a bag of pucks in the not so distant past and suddenly this season he looks a lot like our best defenseman. Some of us probably would've paid him not to play for us this year. More recently, our 4th line is "just shit" and a day later they net the game winner against arguably the best team in the Nhl and then help seal it late defensively too.

Either way, great character and heart shown in the 3rd period to pull out that win in a hostile road environment against a top team.

I think a win like this, especially minus Ellis and Hayes, goes a long way toward building the confidence of what could eventually be a Cup contending team.

We heard Hart in the post game say that we have a good team now, but what exactly can that develop into?

That is the question.

I feel like downing the Oilers, Caps and Canes on the road is a statement to the rest of the Nhl that we are coming, so to speak. Those teams are a combined 15-0-3 against everyone else on their home ice, which puts things into context a bit.

Yup. The offense woke up again finally. Wilson and Olave are first round locks. And Smith-Njiba is probably the best of the three possibly? You guys happened to catch a pissed off team after two bad showings the last two weeks by our OL.
