Its not the Pens haven't been a rival of ours in 10 years since we haven't held up our end of a rivalry in that long.

We need all the odds of getting the number 1 pick that we can get even if its 1 or 2 %
2012 when Wells Fargo crowd chanted “you can’t beat us”

Are there any statistics that are meaningful for individual player ?

For a player like Giroux only winning Stanley cups are meaningful at this point in his career.

Saw an article saying Ellis may not want to be here, please God let it be true. We could use that money on a player who can play more than 20 games a season.

I would love to get rid of him and just go with the youngsters and start our "rebuild" not do a "retool" . We just have to find a team dumb enough to take on his 5 more years at $6.25 millions per season .

If he decides not to play do we still pay him, seems like if he wants to be traded maybe we can get something better.

If your medically cleared you pretty much have to play unless you sit out in which you dont get paid. Very rarely does that happen in hockey. If he wants to get traded we will be trading him at his lowest value. Either way we are screwed .

The only way we aren't screwed is if he stays on our team and plays very well and then we could trade him .

Unfortunately I think the dude won't play more than 20 games a season, I'd hate to lose out once again but sometimes you have to eat the barrel and move on.

Although I love his game and think he would be on pace for 102 points as well if he played with Florida's top line its time to trade him while his value is as high as it is.
I don't think you would get anything back that's higher caliber then him tbh.

Its mindboggling to me how the Rangers went from Leetch to McDonagh and now to Fox on defense. All multiple time all stars and two Norris winners or finalists . As well they go from Richter to Lundqvist to now Shesterkin. All top 3 goalies in the league as well as two Vezina trophy winners.

I only use the Rangers as an example because i hear it all the time from their fans. Im sure there are other teams out there with the same management capability to trade or draft very well over time like the Rags.

Why dont we ever have these types of problems?

Hope it will be whomever can build a young group of players and turn a rebuild into a champion in 3 years.
I agree but who? I haven't even heard a rumour on it, which scares me even more. I'd hate to think Yeo has any chance of becoming permanent head coach. Who would you hope to see on the radar. I don't even know who is available.

So I did see an article about hiring Jim Montgomery, I could def get on board with that. With his past alcohol abuse behind him, I think he could do some good here. What say you knuckleheads?
