The Flyers always do this in years where the draft is mediocre. Went on a draft reading binge the other day and I'm thinking the Flyers should try to pry 2023 draft picks out of people at the deadline instead of 2022 picks. Sounds like it's supposed to be a really good draft, even beyond Bedard who might be 'generational' level.

It's such a mess, the real trick is to see what their going to keep beyond Hart to build around. I still think we need better insight then what our current management can provide.

The last 3 posts sums up where my head is as well. If we need to wait for the 2023 draft - so be it.

I do believe the entire org needs blown up. If holmgren still has influence - then it stays with sacking him and everyone else. A complete org rebuild. Can use 2022/23 to sort that out. dump players for picks this year to load up on the 23 draft with a fresh look too to bottom

Allison was called up today, Yeo said he'd play in the next game.

OMG. That game was absolutely pathetic. The complete lack of purpose in play, the indifference in the d zone.
Blow it up. But get rid of Fletcher first. I don't trust him to draft or trade bubble gum cards.

Fletcher is a hack, I hope he's gone before he inflicts any long term damage.

Why even play him was my question. There def was no rush to get him back on the ice. Sheesh.

At this point you have to wonder if the dude is just fragile. He was returning from an upper body injury yesterday (elbow I think) and left with a lower body injury. The injury before I think was an ankle.

THe problem is that he already has. In pandering to AV with Hayes and his $7mil contract, he took a big chunk out of the available cap space. In dealing away Hagg and Myers he was cutting ties with organizational young depth for the sake of Ellis and a rental. He then filled up the roster with 30+ year old one and two year contracts ensuring that what prospects there are would not have a slot.

Undoing this is going to be harder than the mess that Clarke left for Holmgren (lest we forget).
