Makes absolutely no sense not to at this point. 13 points behind Boston who has 3 games in hand. 18 points behind Washington with 1 game in hand. There's no way this team challenges for a playoff spot.

Giroux, Risto, and Braun at the very least should be sold.

Agree he needs to be gone to recoup something and salvage that terrible trade.

I think Sanheim has gotten a lot better and has carried Risto this season and he may have even surpassed Prov.

I like Sanheim. And honestly I'm glad Yeo seems more open to moving Provorov around on the PP. Playing on the half wall instead is an interesting move. And he obviously has not been as attached to keeping him on PP1 which I think is also good. I'd really like to see Sanheim get more of a look on the PP, though I like seeing York out there too.

With Ellis back he should bring back Provs game and Sanheim has improved a lot this year and York is good.

Definately not ideal but its what we have unless we unload Prov at his lowest value at the dead line

Agree with this sentiment. How about another over/under ....? With 44 games to go, I'll set the season point total at 76. This would be the lowest for a full season since 06/07 (56 pts)

Your first sentence says it all, A true top pair guy would never need another guy to play to boost their play. If he stays he needs to be put on the 2nd pairing with Sanheim, still need a true number 1 IMO.

I agree we could use a true number one badly as none of the four are true number ones and i would love to get one. Unless we draft one i dont think we have the pieces to trade for a top defenseman.

Canes could actually make some sense. Clearly a cup contender and if you had to a point to a weakness it'd be offensively. Once you get past Svech/Aho/Terravainen they could use another offense generator. Flyers eat the max 50% of his contract. Canes wouldn't be too far away from being able to afford him.

Jarvis is probably pretty unlikely given his great start. Drury is a decent prospect. They don't have a 1st round pick in 2022 to give, so that could make things interesting. Maybe Jarvis would be in the discussion? Or do you go for a 2023 1st rounder (Bedard draft)?

If we can throw in JVR as incentive i wouldnt mind tricking them into that as well
