I’ve heard Raley has been playing a lot OF. Which begs the question of why if he is going to be the primary 1B. Haven’t look but is Tellez doing well enough to make the roster and DFA Haniger?Who isn't?
I haven't seen a ton of games but the ones I have Raley was DH or 1B. Tellez has been what he has always been. Not sure if he is a huge upgrade. I know they like his leadership. They love that word. Would the cheapest team in baseball really just eat $15M? I don't see it.I’ve heard Raley has been playing a lot OF. Which begs the question of why if he is going to be the primary 1B. Raley LF and Randy DH?
Enjoy. My brother just got back from there yesterday after a week. It has been 9 years since I lived down there. Crazy. Lucky dog. I hope you are an In & Out fan. It was my favorite.Going To Peoria next week and can't wait to see some games. As far as how our season will go, if we don't have bounce back seasons from at least 2 players we will hover around .500.
I can't wait to be starting up the "Mariners blown games 2025"Lost on an error....
You know that "Dumb Ways to Die" song from years ago? If they did "Dumb Ways to Lose," we'd have more than half the methods covered!
I'm in on the hold onto him category.Funny because when I saw him play the field in CF and at 2B I thought he wasn't going to be much. Then he goes 3-3 and I think he has a legit shot. He is a very confusing read. I think there is a case to hold onto him because of his skills but at the same time I wonder if dealing him now is the best move to avoid losing a lost chance.
Ya but he really doesn't have a spot. He is hesitant in CF with an infield arm and he doesn't seem to be the best infielder either. I am good either way, but I don't want him to go to waste either.I'm in on the hold onto him category.
One more season in the minors to see if there's any progress. If not then start looking into moving him.Ya but he really doesn't have a spot. Eating Hanigers salary isn’t a big deal if he is being replaced by a minimum salary guy who can contribute something IMO. Eating Hanigers deal for some scrub 4th OF or actually spending money to upgrade is where I think Jerry would run into a roadblockI haven't seen a ton of games but the ones I have Raley was DH or 1B. Ya but we are talking about the Mariners so...Eating both Haniger's and Garver's salaries would've been a no-brainer this offseason for any team that really cares about contending.
Teams that care about contending and know what they fuck they're doing would've done it around July of last season. We know this because that's exactly what the Astros did last season with dead weigh of their own with contracts exceeding that of Haniger and Garver. It's pathetic seeing them on this roster and seeing any press at all devoted to a useless piece of shit like Garver's hand injury in Spring Training.
It's truly absurd.
I know they are paying him either way, but man I have a hard time believing they will cut bait on him right now. I can see at midseason, but they just don't seem like a team to pay a guy to leave. I hope you are right because it is the right move, but it would shock me.Eating Hanigers salary isn’t a big deal if he is being replaced by a minimum salary guy who can contribute something IMO. Oh I’d be shocked too, just saying I think Stanton and co could justify it if it’s for a league minimum guy who will play a lot. Their justification for Ray for Haniger was that Haniger was going to play more even though he was a 5th OF.I know they are paying him either way, but man I have a hard time believing they will cut bait on him right now. He's untradeable unless he's in a package deal with one of our pitchers which in case Seattle is that far out of the last WC spot.I know they are paying him either way, but man I have a hard time believing they will cut bait on him right now.
