Eagles continue to knock it out of the park with draft... was commented during draft that Eagles tried to move up to #22 and #23 to get Campbell and they only had to move up to #31 to get him and give up a 5th for player rated much higher.

Nice job by Eagles front office (again).

For many years I thought Ravens front office the best... but that is probably the Eagles now based on last several years IMO.
They have the luxury of not having to draft a guy and immediately count on him to be a starter. This is a developmental player for sure. That allows a franchise to truly take best player available.

Haha! I didn’t “react” at all. I said that Eagles fans don’t really care what you think or what your analysis is. He doesn’t need to play right away this year. From what the Eagles have said based on their medical they have no reason to think his injury issues are the type to linger or be impactful long term. The Eagles have talent at edge already. This is similar to Nolan Smith taken in the 2023 draft. He played mostly special teams and about 4-5 snaps every game on defense. But in the 2024 campaign was a major contributor. That is likely Campbell’s story. He is a guy who will have 2025 to get healthy and learn Fangio’s system before having to contribute.

Right, which is EXACTLY what I said in my original post.

So what are you talking about? I guess it was my comment about Eagles fans losing their cool so to speak? I mean, go back and read what you wrote, you kind of did lol. Nobody types that if they're not taking it personal, ha.

All good man, I get a laugh out of it.

I’m not taking any of it personal. You came in predicting people wouldn’t like what you had to say. I was letting you know that nobody really cares.

lmao, you can't make this stuff up.

Obviously you did because you keep making posts about it and calling me a 'nobody' all the while pointing out the exact same things I said (hence liking everything I said except calling out Eagles fans for being whiny little bitches). :pound: :pound: :pound:

Whatever man, I'll let you have the final post and let's enjoy day 2 of the draft :suds:

OK.....but guessing the real best player in this draft will not be the guy some fake drafters say is the best player before he ever plays?
Do you watch games?

Glad JS actually got wise and picked Zabel. Seattle 4 picks tonight and need another o-line guy, address the D-line, secondary and WR/TE.
That's the wish list.

I do.....and I'd be willing to bet there will be a better NFL player in this draft than Travis Hunter.

Not to say Hunter wont be good or even a star.

It's kind of funny you'd make that comment along with the other comments you are making.

Hunter is beyond special

I agree. There's some 'specialness' that SHOULD translate into either a good corner, or a good WR. Is that worth the 2nd overall pick? Well if it's a corner no. If it's a WR is Hunter as good as Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald as a prospect? No...

So.. there's that... 2nd is kind of meh, but fine. Then there's the trade itself, which I think the NFL should've stepped in on, or maybe the courts since it was a justifying anal destruction skit for their... I mean like 500th movie, whatever.

And then there is the fanbase and absolute morons that think he's somehow going to be able to play both positions in the NFL and do it effectively. That is what really derails me. "But he can do both." FINE SURE, he can play both. NOT 100% snaps and not even 60%+ snaps of EITHER in the NFL.

I'm a broken record. I keep saying, when Hunter said, "I'm built differently/different" in an interview, I had a SEVERE rolling of my eyes and just said aloud, "So is EVERY NFL PLAYER, MORON!"

Hey - anyone feel free to bookmark this. I will 100% come back and eat crow. I've done it with Seattle moves. I thought Jamal Adams was a great trade.... yah I said that.

Browns fleeced the Jaguars. I think the movie Draft Day actually came true?

Whatever, I was in disbelief when I saw that. Trading up #2 to get a DB lol... or a WR? Whatever... Hunter is nowhere near the prospect of someone like Calvin Johnson, and a #2 for a DB?

And this whole "Oh he can do both." No... he can't... 70 snaps (typical for a DB) is already too much. So this notion he's going to play 120 snaps a game... give me a fuckin' break. Deion Sanders did it one season, wasn't good at either... (due to exhaustion likely) and by the time the receivers got healthy and the Boys were approaching the playoffs, Dallas stopped that bullshit and never did it again.

The last person to do DUAL roles was in the 60s. Can't remember the name off the top of my head but he played DL and Center. And that was in a 12 game season.
What Im seeing here is that Hunter was CB1 and the next CB didn't go until pick 20. At the very least I think Hunter gives them that. Everything beyond that is just gravy.

Jags honestly dont need more draft picks. They need to actually develop all of the young 1st and 2nd rounders on their roster. The problem is that imo Hunter was the 3rd most valuable player in the draft and they paid the price for Carter.

You can try to rationalize it any way you want Clayton... it was a horrible trade (selection was I can argue, OKAY - but not good/great by any means).

You know what it really screamed to me as? Khan forcing the FOs hand and "We need to fill the seats and get ratings."

It was a BUSINESS move, and nothing less. Because everyone will be tuning into the Jaguars in 2025 to see what this guy is gonna do (which is be a DB or WR only - but hell it'll get ratings for 1/2 the year).

I already said that the Browns had the best night of anyone. Its just that Hunter's metrics as a WR honestly are really good. Jags overpaid for a good prospect in a bad draft. If Im a Jags fan, I would've rather seen them trade their whole draft this year than lose a 1st next year.

Stephen A was on squeaking about Sanders. He admitted Prime Jr doesn't have the size, arm strength, athleticism. But raved about his intangibles. And glossed over he reports of Sanders pissy attitude. I think that's just what scared teams away. They see Shedeur as a potential Art Schlichter, Ryan Leaf, JaMarcus Russell, Johnny Manziel. No GM wants that knowing that if he's Manziel 2.0 they will be looking for work in two years.

Yep....need to nail those high picks (at least 3) but great haul.
Hunter is really good but they added a nice defensive player to play next to Garrett and can add a QB (maybe Sanders) and get another good player at a position of need.

Once you get into rd2, its about upside. I could see the Saints wanting Milroe over Sanders. Maybe the Jets. Browns likely want nothing to do with a QB with a bad attitude.

Sanders could fall quite a bit.

did every other player play 110+ snaps in college? Guessing he said he's built differently because he is. Well, maybe built differently not the right words to use.

Personally, I think those saying no way he can do it (you) and those saying he's by far the best in the draft (thunder) are both extreme comments and as usual truth likely in the middle.

He could. I know I'd take Milroe over Sanders. But what if he is all that. Say Vegas passes on him for Tyler Slough and New Orleans takes takes him. sanders becomes a stud and Slough is the 2nd coming of Christian Hackenburg. Fans won't take kindly to that.

agree he could but if we think he can play grab him.....do think IF they love a QB high upside of Milroe way to go .........if nothing else, hoping our OC would have a good idea.
