I think the guy will be a full time WR and play 30 or so snaps at DB (well, did if we got him...might be different depending what Jags need more). Don't think many reasonable fans or media have said he will play 100% both ways. If we took him I was fine with it.

But agree that was a lot to give up and glad we made the deal.

Never worked, so hey... this would be a first.

DBs usually don't play part time. WRs do. It's easier to develop a package that includes a DB as WR (like the Boys did with Deion) because YOU know the play you're running. Subbing in a DB on random snaps is the most retard concept I've ever heard because you don't know what the offense is doing.

And the Jaguars have coaching that is smart enough to know what the offense is doing? LMFAO... look if it was MacDonald or a high end defensive coach fine, but that's RIDICULOUS.

Whatever. I was shocked sites like WalterFootball (which has completely sold out) was giving C grades for the pick and trade, because I was laughing my ass off when it was done.

Some fans have it in their mind they will complain no matter what their team does...and I guess I get it with some teams. But should at least wait and see how it pans out.

Do love our deal......but if Hunter is a stud and Graham flops? Hell, even then need to see what happens at 36 and the future #1.
I think the draft capital accrued in that deal was tremendous. I do worry a little about the pick. Graham is great against the run but I would have liked to have seen a better demonstrated ability to rush the passer when using a top 5 pick on DT. I think he’s an NFL starter though on day 1 and a solid run defender.

traded generational talent for unknowns. Did the same thing years ago and could have drafted Julio Jones :L
You cannot think this was close to the same. Moved down into the 20s for Jones. Moved down 3 spots in this one.

They still can get a really good player at 5 and have 2 2nd rounders now in this draft.

And 2 1st rounders in the '26 draft.

They didn't drop down a lot.
Yep....need to nail those high picks (at least 3) but great haul.

Hey if he is a complete bust wont bother me at all and do think they gave up too much. But my guess is he becomes at worse a really good player on one side of the ball and maybe both.

I think that for the most part we don’t really care what you think. With all due respect, you’re a nobody.
That hurts, funbags... :suds:

You haven’t seen a single real medical report on this player. He’s a football prospect. He will either develop and be good or he won’t. It will have nothing to do with what any of us have to say.

Well no shit I haven't seen any medical report on this player. I'm a nobody after all. No shit he's a football prospect.

I'm simply stating FACTS that he has injury concerns that raised alarms across various NFL teams (further confirmed by how far he dropped) that have a chance to impact his career in both a positive and negative way. If injuries limit him, well then game over. If not, well then we'll see but all signs point to him being an impact player.

I really don't know wtf you're talking about. If you'd read through my entire post, I actually thought it was a great pick given the situation by the Eagles and based on everything I've read/heard/watched, there's some unknowns there, but in a positive way.

I also made it very obvious that Eagles fans would overreact in some stupid way, and thanks for proving that point :pound:

Yeah would think a safe pick with a very high floor so I get the choice (and don't know of anyone else I'd have preferred at 5). If memory serves he sure played well against OSU a couple times. Ugh...UM flashbacks.

In Jax defense I'll say what I said when talking about why I'd trade up for Hunter. You get an elite player on both sides of the ball. So a little different
If he's a star and that #1 pick in 2026 not near top of draft I'm sure Jags will be thrilled with their move.

Man was my first thought until i saw what they got for him.

Set themselves up for a qb next year or be able to trade up if Shadeur slips.
Yes....concerned a little at first but shocked got both their 2 this year AND a 1 in 2026.

You don’t win by not taking by far the best player in the draft
OK.....but guessing the real best player in this draft will not be the guy some fake drafters say is the best player before he ever plays?

Sounds like the Eagles agree.

View attachment 395880

Eagles continue to knock it out of the park with draft... was commented during draft that Eagles tried to move up to #22 and #23 to get Campbell and they only had to move up to #31 to get him and give up a 5th for player rated much higher.

Nice job by Eagles front office (again).

For many years I thought Ravens front office the best... but that is probably the Eagles now based on last several years IMO.

Haha! I didn’t “react” at all. I said that Eagles fans don’t really care what you think or what your analysis is. He doesn’t need to play right away this year. From what the Eagles have said based on their medical they have no reason to think his injury issues are the type to linger or be impactful long term. The Eagles have talent at edge already. This is similar to Nolan Smith taken in the 2023 draft. He played mostly special teams and about 4-5 snaps every game on defense. But in the 2024 campaign was a major contributor. That is likely Campbell’s story. He is a guy who will have 2025 to get healthy and learn Fangio’s system before having to contribute.

And he very well could become a great pass rusher.
