Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn all but confirmed a pivotal position switch for an established star in 2024.

looks like a last chance type of move . i hope it works out and solves an issue even if its a BU role . my question is why didnt RR see this and applied this

agreed. RR had to know this guy had pass rushing skills. The only thing I can think of is that he had Sweat and CY so they didn't bother using him as a pass rusher or train him to do so. Davis as good athletic ability. Hopefully this works.

It is good to see and hear positive news about guys like Davis, Dotson, Forbes and Mathis. Sometimes guys like this get called a bust or a disappointment a little too early. We won't know anything until they start playing real football but there is no denying the different level of coaching by DQ vs. RR. Some of these guys might be very good contributors to this team. Some might be cut before the season starts but it sounds like they are all giving the best they have and they are taking to solid coaching.

really thought that rr was out of it for whatever reason last 2 years myself.

Big difference in coaching. You had Rivera bring in his cast-offs from Carolina that secured him four straight losing seasons after the 15-1 Super Bowl run. Quinn has had people getting in line to work with him, many taking lateral moves or even steps down from where they could be interviewing.
