The Knicks killed the offseason getting Bridges and KAT to go with who they already had.

So apparently Kevin Pelton on ESPN did his yearly win projections and has the Timberwolves pegged at...42 wins.

WTF!?!?!

Did I miss some offseason news where Antman got attacked by bears or something?
Clearly, he had inside info on Randle/DDV to Minny for Towns.

Gonna have to think this one over but first gut reaction is I don't really think this trade helps either team

Remind me of that next playoffs when they are trying to hide both Brunson and KAT defensively.

Good move for the Wolves. Getting out from KAT’s contract was an absolute must so that they can extend Reid.

Wouldn’t be shocked in the least if Randle never plays for the Wolves or moves again at the deadline.

They are going way backwards if that happens

Go look up some of your own comments when watching the Wolves playing during the playoffs this year.

Reid replaces Towns. He is 25 years old and just getting better. Might not be a full 1 for 1 replacement but it is pretty damn close.

And we just took the 6th man of the year and will be sticking him in our starting lineup. And in the trade that cleared the way for that to happen, we just got a guy who will finish top 5 in that race for the next couple of years in DD. 3 years $39M for him?!? Hell yes I’ll take that.

I will always like KAT. He seems like a legit good dude. Weird….but good. But he was such a frustrating player to watch too.

And I will easily take Naz Reid’s years from age 25-29 to Towns years 29-33. Especially when you factor in that it will cost about 25% less money. That move has seemed inevitable for a little while now.

We shall see.

But, it really cannot be argued that they did not improve overall. If you are trying to argue that, you are just being hard headed.

The Wolves are being sold, right? More moves are coming since the new ownership will not want to being paying crazy money on the salary of the players after having spent a lot to buy the team. Within a few years the Wolves will be back to being the Wolves we are used to. And within 4 or so years I think Edwards will demand a trade. He is not going to want to be part of 27-55 to 30-52 teams. Not after having seen what they have done the last few seasons.

I want to see who DDV gets dealt for? I do not think he will be in Minny very long.

Probably dealt by the trade deadline.

DD is a bigger loss than some believe. NY was ship or bust before this move but if they don’t get a ship they will be thinking long and hard about that KAT contract. I still like the move for NY. I am not moving them ahead of Boston. It seemed like DD would be a high minute bench player, he fits into the Minny starting lineup/6th man

They can make up for it with their long wings. OG, Hart and Bridges are extremely solid defensively. They still have Robinson at center if Towns is struggling. Even if both go down they play Achiuwa and they have good rebounding at the other positions.

They are still 2 or 3 in the East for me behind Boston. Zinger has the same issues with staying healthy but he can be elite defensively when he is on the floor, clear difference
