So, see my earlier post about Embiid, Haliburton, Tatum not getting anytime in the first half and me questioning why Booker is starting….

Embiid hasn’t been the only object of scorn today.

That’s why I’m saying you can’t use the word garbage for Embiid.

I don’t know why that particular adjective has you in your feelings .

Embiid has to do a better job of making sure that Curry and Booker can keep white guys in front of them.

Dude is a great defender which is really the thing that has been throwing me about his play.

He’s not going to put up 30 on a stacked team like this.

He isn’t going to even put up half of that most times.

But to be a complete non factor is surprising.

Maybe it’s just the style of play.

The USA is clearly at its best when we are running.

That’s not gonna be a strength for Joel.

Dude is a great defender which is really the thing that has been throwing me about his play.

He’s not going to put up 30 on a stacked team like this.

He isn’t going to even put up half of that most times.

But to be a complete non factor is surprising.

Maybe it’s just the style of play.

The USA is clearly at its best when we are running.

Are we watching two different games? Everything Jokic has gotten today he’s had to work hard on. Shit, two of his finishes were on offensive foul hooks. How has he not been a factor defensively today? Serbia is Jokic Boggy and 10 mongoloids. Jokic has 9 shots from the field. That’s in part because of Embiid’s defense on him on ball. Jokic only has 5 dimes as well because Embiid being able to play Jokic one on one without conceding a baby hook as we have seen with AD and Bam on him has allowed Team USA to keep those guys from having open looks.

I don’t understand how we can be watching the same game and you’re talking about Embiid’s defense like it’s hurting them.
