Vandy is fine, he’s probably accurately paid

But rui Vincent etc are the issues

That's not cap space though. Maybe apron space?

The big issue was the talent/fit loss with that first Westbrook trade. They traded a 1st to get him, then another 1st to dump him. Chasing a 3rd star off of a championship based on defense and role player support is baffling at best.

The initial bump they got post-dump trade was helpful, but DLo has proven to be a net negative in the playoffs, Vando is rarely healthy and Beasley is long gone (and was erratic at best in his short stint in LA). The Lakers would've been better served to take Alexander-Walker and Conley instead of diverting them for DLo.

Yup. We’re past the Westbrook deal, and not that mistake

You’d also be a second apron team without the Westbrook trade anyway

Hachimura? He averaged 14ppg and 4rpg while he made 54% from the field and 42% on 3's. And while he isn't a great defender...he is no slouch either. He can still improve in all areas since he is just 25.

Player development is going to be key going forward with the Lakers as JJ has indicated.

Suddenly it's crickets about Bronny, wonder why...
Yes, he had a career shooting night that looks like most players average day shooting, 1 rebound, and 0 assists.

I have not been out here hating on Bronny, but if that is the game you want to hold up as proof against the naysayers it is not the strong point you think it is.

Giving him 17-18m is the issue

A few mill over the MLE?

Have you been paying attention to what players have been getting paid the past few seasons, especially this summer?

The point people have been harping on is his shooting. He finally played fairly well on offense and had 12 points.

You miss the game where he had 3 blocks and 3 steals? And other games where he had rebounds and assists?

Nobody is saying he is anything special right now but he is showing some progress....which is what these games are about.

Career shooting night lol. I suppose if your career is only a handful of games...

I'm just pointing out that nobody gives him credit, just lashes out when it supports their hate.

That right there would be reason to hate IMO. Can't stand Harden.
That’s what I mean. Curry was pretty much universally loved while Harden was hated. Not sure why Clarke gets the hate that she does. To be fair, I don’t understand why LeBron gets the hate he does either. Maybe it’s because I don’t give a fuck about the social and political opinions of athletes.

There have people saying he's the worst player in summer league lol. Clearly those people don't watch summer league. When your "watching" consists of reading headlines and looking only at shooting numbers, making any comment whatsoever is no better than trolling really.

It's ridiculous.

These games are about young guys getting playing time and showing improvement game to game.

Nope, I am saying that game is not making any point against the Bronny haters. 12 points on 11 shots is improvement, but it is still not good. When I saw shops post I assumed he had some kind of breakout, not a below average scoring night where he failed to contribute anywhere else.

I don't care that he was picked 55, I think he has a chance to be a better version of Andre Roberson, and he was a 1st round pick.

It's just the "hate the popular hyped player" backlash that always happens.

I am saying that was just a game, not worthy of any sort of special credit you want it to be.

I didn't say anything about special credit, just that people only want to talk about Bronny when they can bring the vitriol.
