How do you syrup your chicken and waffles? Syrup on the chicken and the waffles or just the waffles?

Syrup and Louisianna hot sauce on both for me...my son just does the syrup.

My wife? Not a fan. So, she does chicken or waffles. lol

It’s a dish I’ve only eaten in the south visiting family but enjoy it. I eat it like your son but next time will try it like you eat it.

You’d be surprised. Many really good dishes merge savory and sweet together. It just kind of fits when done well.

As funbags said, it's the savory/sweet combo and works.

You get the sweet from the syrup, the saltiness of the fried chicken and the waffle brings it together. I like to put some hot sauce on mine...so I get a little heat too.

Man I'm a big UK fan. If you haven't seen it, watch the UK-Tenn game that was at UT this year. Knecht and Reed Sheppard both played out of their minds. Like tonight. I'm still trying to figure out how Coach Can had 2 lottery pick guards and didn't start either lol. Anyway, Knecht is going to be a great pro. Not good, great

Place I eat breakfast in Vegas called the Hash House a go go has them, it’s their specialty I guess. I see people eating them every time I go. I wouldn’t know where to start lol.

Another savory/sweet combo I’ve always enjoyed are Monte Cristo sandwiches, some I’ve had are sweeter than others and have come with differing sweet dipping options but they’re usually pretty tasty.

Prosciutto wrapped in melon is another thing I really like.

If we’re talking top of the chain culinary mastery, I’ll add Wendy’s fries dipped in Frostys.
