Warriors are said to be looking to take back no salary in the Klay deal. They want a larger trade exemption.

Derozan???
If it's Mark or Derozan you take Derozan all day bc you don't have to give up a ton of assets.

He is in his feelings. Always has and always will. Maybe some of it was about winning but he is very sensitive.

I think a large part of his decision was that he's unsure of what his role is going forward with the Warriors. We saw him be benched last year at times for Podz. At least with the Mavs he knows what he's going to be doing. I can see that being some comfort to him leaving.

GS could have added a 3rd year so he and Steph go out together.

Klay taking a 3 yr 50M deal absolutely stings. He got offended because the Warriors offered him 2 years 48M and decides to leave for significantly less money? That's wild.

I think this is one of those emotional decisions he made that he likely won't appreciate after his career is done.

Klay's forever a legend, but regardless of what you think of the Warriors position was in terms of his negotiations, Klay's the one who will end up looking bad here. Good luck to him in Dallas.
Really not that much less. No state income tax in Dallas gets those numbers closer. But you are right, he left because he felt insulted. With the money these guys make, they can afford to do what they want. I put that on GS

Even with no state income tax the annual net per year is still significantly higher. Dallas it's 50 over 3. Warriors it was 48 over 2.

I mean from what is being reported Warriors started at the 2/48 deal and Klay just walked away because he was insulted. They offered him so much more than his market value as a starting value and he just walked.

So it is a bit on him.

Green gone from Dallas? They dealt him?

That nerd on NBA TV just said that.

How much is he getting after that 2 year deal?

Another kobe retirement check?

When does that end?

Go get Grant or call the Nets and try and get Cameron Johnson or DFS and Schroeder.
Or call the Jazz to see the cost on some of their guys (Sexton, Lauri, Kessler, etc). Have to at least ask about Lauri, but either of the other two could work depending on what a DLo trade nets.

He's going to Charlotte for 2 seconds in a salary dump to make space under the first apron to allow the Mavs to fit Thompson's salary in the S&T.

Maybe the Lakers check in with Portland on Timelord, could absorb him into that MLE (if Lebron approves lol)

After that 2 year deal, they'd have to have another conversation. Mostly about how much longer he wants to play, but probably more importantly, how much longer Steph wants to play.
