Or perhaps it's because the Bears have been in a free fall for months and their offense is dogshit, while the Bills have been smokin' hot with the best QB and the best offense in the league outside of Detroit... it could be that.
Possibly but the Bears did better on T-day when we had most of our starters still.

The vikings win out and they win the division.
With that Philly loss, If MN loses to GB and we beat the 49ers we have the number 1 seed for the playoffs. Last game wont even matter.

Beating San Francisco even with it being a down year for SF is a psychological statement that the Lions beat teams regardless of team history, closing a bad era and solidifying the new winning era. No excuses based on injuries (SF has its injury issues, too), or being on the road, or looking past the current opponent.

Win, and hopefully win convincingly.

Let’s go, Lions!

Can’t decide if this is a really bad sign for Hooker or not.

But I do know I’m glad we have a vet in case the injury bug finds another host.
I think you need to have more than 1 backup in the playoffs. This offense is so good that we might still be able to win with these guys, if the defense plays just a little better. Thats a big if though.

Game tonight only means if we win we could still keep the number spot with just a tie. Otherwise we are 5 with a loss next week. I would be tempted to reduce everyones reps and work the backups more than usual.

Overall, a nice win against San Francisco. Perfect record for the year against opponents on the road. Lions showed they’re still willing to go for it on fourth down when the ‘smart’ choice is to kick the field goal. Missing on the first one left 49ers deep with a long field to cover; scoring on the next 4th down opportunity made up for the earlier failure. Making the PAT nets a better result. It‘s a different approach to a game that everyone thinks has had all the strategy already figured out.

Is Dan Campbell and the rest of the staff football geniuses? That’s still top be proven. But they do make for an entertaining game. They’re willing to pull any card, and because they practice going for it, doing laterals, trying the on sides kicks, the team is not only confident they can achieve all of this, opponents have to start trying to game plan for this different dimension. It’s as if they use the regular season games to hone those special skills, not just the practice field.

Sunday night to end the season should be exciting times at Ford Field. Let’s go, Lions!

I saw Campbell's face when Bates missed that final PAT. And I've seen it before - about a year ago exactly. Be prepared for even more reckless 4th down decisions.

I got stuck on a plane with no working Wi-Fi/Internet connectivity, starting right before kickoff and landing in Minneapolis with what turned out to be five minutes left in the game. Needless to say, I was shocked at the score being so one sided. Looking forward to watching a replay of the game.

Defense was much more diverse than the vanilla shit we played most of the season. The strategy completely shut down MN offense for the most part. Granted Darnold had an off game but maybe because of it.

Amazing what can happen when you swallow your pride and just do what is necessary to get the job done.

At halftime the pressure rate on Darnold was near 70%. He had an off game, but Lions dline was a massive part of it.

Anzelone being back changes everything. Middle of the field is no longer a free play with him out there. I don't think it was a coincidence the defense started to fall apart after he broke his arm, and was better on his return.

Dont be surprised if MN loses to the Rams. AG just created the blueprint for stopping the MN offense.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, they are playing well right now.
