I tore my meniscus getting into a van once.

If that’s all it was maybe we get him back for the playoffs.
That would be good news. Miniscus is mostly about managing pain. They can completely remove it if need be. Of course he would need a knee replacement when he got older cause he will be bone on bone.

I just drank whiskey before every game the rest of the indoor soccer season.

The knee healed fine.

He’s got access to a lot better shit than Canadian Club.

Campbell said he thinks both McNeil and Davis are done for the season.

If that is the case I just don't see a positive outcome for the season. It's too much. Lions entered the season with zero depth and the stack of injuries has been unbelievable.

Did Davis break his jaw?

If they’re both done for the season that’s about it for SB hopes.

They hung with the next best offense today, but that’s too much to ask for three games straight in the playoffs.

Agreed, seems like a tall order. I will maintain hope though. Anzelone coming back at some point should shore up the LB. Maybe Melifonwu makes it back and Branch to CB?

Even if all that works there is no repairing the dline without McNeil and Hutch.

Looking like we need a greatest show on turf type run.

It is confirmed. McNeil tore his acl and Davis fractured his jaw. Both done for the year. This puts our defenders on IR to 18.

Just watching the telly this morning because I missed the game while working. Sounds like they think Montgomery is done for the year too. Not the regular season, the year.

They had run out of ways to break our spirit. All of these lifelong Lions fans were immune to it. :You can't hurt me anymore, same ol Lions, I'm used to this." So they changed that shit up. The cursevof Bobhy Layne was like: "Hold my beer. I got this." They got me again.

The loss was brutal in terms of personnel. From an actual game execution, I kind of liked that they kept the aggressive posture to the end on offense, but the defense looked terrible. Teams practice what they want to achieve; going on fourth down, trying on sides kicks, playing man to man predominantly, it’s all about learning how to win as a team. Institutionally, the organization seems to get it. Those injuries, though, are raising the bar for what it will take to win it all.

Shortly after the Superbowl but well before the draft this year, I went ahead and placed bets on the Lions to win the North, the NFC, and then the Superbowl in New Orleans. It’s not life changing money, but I’m not willing to sell those slips just because of what happened with the Bills. The schedule isn’t quite daunting; win two out of the next three and they take the North (again), win out and they guarantee home field throughout the playoffs. Stranger things have happened.

Brutal. Well the good news is we get them back next year and might actually have a new DC who knows how to game plan.

If you win against SF and CHI, but lose to the Vikings (assuming no losses for them) then we are the #5 seed. Imagine that, go 14-3 and get no home games in the playoffs...what a weird year.

Putrid defense. Undisguised vanilla bullshit. They played like they had no idea Allen would roll to his right and try to run every other play. Cant wait for some team to steal AG away to be their HC. Dude is terrible with strategy.

That aside Campbell yet again takes the game away from his players with a bonehead decision. On top of saying he would never do that again, he said before the game that defense would have to win it and then shows zero confidence in the 4th quarter by trying and onside kick with 12 minutes left instead of giving them a chance.

They will not beat good teams until that stops. It is that simple.
No, they played like half the defensive unit was working at Best Buy a few weeks ago. I don't love AG but you can only patch things together so much, the injuries have been ridiculous. It's not just the starters, it's the second stringers, and even the third stringers on the DLine. How complex can you get when these guys have only been in the system for weeks, and weren't good to begin with.

Yes, Thats WHY you need a strategy of some sort. You are not going to play straight up vanilla with backups and stop anyone.
