So far Alcaraz has struggled on Hardcourts. But slowly he is peaking on hard courts. Great run in Cincy! The final could have gone either way and was a hairline close match. What happened in the second set? Djoker had some exhaustion trauma/drama? I didn’t watch closely the whole match.

Alcaraz lead for most of the 2nd set, but Djokovic came back at the end, and won it in a tiebreak.

Before the 3rd set, he took a long break. Apparently it's allowed because changing clothes is allowed if it's extreme heat.

Djokovic lead for part of the 3rd, but got broken and it went to a tiebreak.

It was a good match, but I wouldn't say one of the greatest. It was hard to watch up until near the end of the 2nd, because of the shadows. It made it difficult to see the ball.

The rallies were ok, but I think a few more ended on errors, rather than winners, than I would have liked.

Djokovic has now won every Masters 1000 3 times.

No one else has won every one, and the closest have been Agassi, Federer, and Nadal, with 7/9.

John Isner is retiring after this tournament. :( Hopefully he wins at least a match.

Men's Draw:

Alcaraz Quarter:

Murray vs. Dmitrov 2nd round: Going with Murray in 3.

Murray vs. Zverev 3rd round: I just have more confidence in Murray than Zverev. Murray in 5.

Murray vs. Sinner 4th round: This will be really hard for Murray. Sinner in 3.

Sinner vs. Alcaraz QF: They are tied 3-3 in Head to head. Alcaraz is more likely to win. Alcaraz in 4.

Wawrinka could play Sinner in the 3rd round. I think Wawrinka would lose in 3.

Medvedev's Quarter:

Isner vs. Diaz Acosta 1st round: Isner in 3.

Isner vs. Kachanov 2nd round: Kachanov is 4-0 against Isner. With that said, I don't want to send Isner out undefeated against him. So Isner in 4.

Isner vs. Hurkacz 3rd round: Hurkacz in 3. Isner is 3-0 against him, but he'll lose this one.

Medvedev to the SF.

Rune's Quarter:

Tiafoe vs. Ruud 4th round: Tiafoe in 4.

Tiafoe to the SF.

Djokovic's Quarter:

Tsitsipas vs. Raonic 1st round: Tsitsipas in 3.

Djokovic vs. Auger-Aliassime 4th round: Auger-Aliassime has a chance. I'll say Djokovic in 3.

Tsitsipas vs. Djokovic QF: Their matches don't look that competitive on hard courts. I think Tsitspas has the talent to win, but hard courts seem to be more of a struggle. I'll say Tsitsipas wins 1 set, so Djokovic in 4.

Alcaraz vs. Medvedev SF:
I think Medvedev will play a lot better than the last time they met. With that said, I need to see Medvedev win against him again before I might pick him to win again in this matchup. Alcaraz may win this in a rout, albeit a better one.

Alcaraz in 3.

Tiafoe vs. Djokovic SF: I think whoever wins this, will win it in straight sets. Either Djokovic will win or lose easily. I'll say Djokovic in 3.

Alcaraz vs. Djokovic Finals:
I don't really like picking the #1 and #2 to meet in the Finals. But that's what we have.

I might change my mind later, but I'll say Alcaraz in 4.

The one thing is that I dislike is that I rarely pick Djokovic to win, and I picked him at this year's Wimbledon, and he lost.

I feel like he's due to win if I pick him again. But as of now, I'm not.

Women's Draw:

Swiatek's Quarter:

Kvitova vs. Wozniacki 2nd round: Oddly enough, I'll say Wozniacki in 2.

Swiatek to the SF.

Rybakina's Quarter:

Azarenka vs. Rybakina 4th round: I just can't stop picking Azarenka. Azarenka in 3.

Azarenka to the SF.

Pegula's Quarter:

Svitolina to the SF.

Sabalenka's Quarter:

Venus vs. Badosa 1st round: Venus in 2.

Sabalenka vs. Pliskova 3rd round: Sabalenka in 2. I usually pick Pliskova, but not this time.

Venus vs. Kenin 3rd round: Kenin in 2.

Sabalenka to the SF.

Swiatek vs. Azarenka SF: On paper, this should be close. But I think Swiatek in 2.

Svitolina vs. Sabalenka SF: Sabalenka in 2.

Swiatek vs. Sabalenka Finals: Tough one. Swiatek is more consistent. But I think Sabalenka takes this one in 2.

Despite my predictions, it would not surprise me if an unseeded player made the SF.

Evert says Gauff is the 2nd or 3rd favorite to win the tournament. Wow.

I would have to see some significant improvements, for several matches, for me to consider that.

To me, Gauff's body and power haven't changed as much, over the years, as I would have liked.

Gauff has to work hard on both service and return games.

Too much variation on her serves. 113+ mph sometimes, < 100 other times.

Bed properly pooped in. Shadow of his former self. A new coach is in order.

Are there some areas where you've noticed a decline?

It appears these are his coaches:

Guillaume Marx
Frédéric Fontang
Toni Nadal

Hank Kingsley

And just like that, Canuckistan is done for.

Leylah pooped it too.

Why the fuck would you change your service right before a major? And her Dad yelling at her to motivate her is BS too. I know it's allowed for a while now but I think it is not productive.

Djoker has no competition in his half . The Djere match was an anomaly and close. He reaches final easily. Not sure about Carlos. Sinner or Medved looming and could be fatal.
