I love this time of year. Everyone has lots of great sounding excuses and logical reasons to believe they have it all solved so they don't suck as bad this year.

In his case I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but with a short leash. You can't spend 71 games chasing bad pitches after an injury.

Yea it's all bullshit.

I was a skilled tradesman years ago and I lost count of all the flakes you come across that claim to be gods gift to the construction skilled trade world.
So many of these losers would 'talk' a great job then you put a set of tools on their hip or in their hands and they were clueless.

I always liked Gammel ... He was not as talented as many MLB outfielders ... but he gave 110% of everything he did have.

Kole Calhoun has agreed to a minor league deal with the Mariners pending a physical, per Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710.​

He's in the clubhouse, so the deal should be made official shortly. The 35-year-old was cut loose by the Rangers last November after slashing just .196/.257/.330 with 12 homers over 424 plate appearances in 2022. He'll give the Mariners some veteran depth in camp, but it could be a tough task to make the Opening Day roster.
