Hate to say it, but its time to give Jaylen Warren the lion's share. Najee still needs touches but he clearly isn't injecting life into this offense like Jaylen is. Gotta ride that hot hand.
Is he coming off a preseason injury?

He's been battling a hammy issue. Not sure if its the same thing he had a brief injury with in camp. But he showed up on the injury report before the Ravens game.

Spilly is a stud. Always liked the kid but the Steeler always tried to force him to do things he wasn't as good at in coverage. He's as good as it gets as a pure lane filling thumper.

He also was just a rotational player and never got many starts?

Yes & no. Last year he was more or less a starter. But the Steelers kept implementing these new 6-DB packages that pulled the 2nd ILB in lieu of another safety. Myles Jack was the primary. They also kept trying to make Devin Bush into something but that always resulted in failure.

Pretty sure Heyward will be closer to week 10. Still a month or so out on him. Initial reports indicated 8 weeks, so there's a chance he comes back week 9. I'm no PT/doc (paging @SteelersPride) but I think its safe to assume groin injuries on big men tend to be more difficult.

Didn't the Steelers also sign Denzel Mims to the PS? I'm actually really excited about that.
Yeah I think they signed him a few days ago. Very interested to see if he can come in and produce.

I think I'm about done with the Allen Robinson experiment... He has better hands than Chase Claypool, but blocks the same.

When Johnson returns I hope they drop him down the depth chart vs dropping Austin down.

At risk of making a predictable offense more predictable, they should be giving Boykin more snaps on these sort of WR pull block runs.

Or hell... Bring back James Washington to play WR3/4

Surprised he isn't on a roster or PS somewhere.

Probably because his athleticism was never that impressive. But he was pretty reliable at doing the dirty work blocking.

Yeah he can come back around then for sure, if he doesnt re-aggravate it. Thats always the tricky part.
