They’re due to be 40 million over the cap in 2024-25. 75 million of cap relief gets them out of paying any luxury tax at all in a rebuild and it also frees them up to have 35 million in spendable cap depending upon what cap holds they want to hold on to.

Take a look at the free agents available next summer. If Grant was available, he'd likely be one of top targets. Why dump him to add someone lesser?

To sign grant to that deal knowing you were trading dame is Elgin Baylor and Isaiah Thomas levels of stupidity

I don’t see it

It's not hard to look at the players expected to hit free agency next summer and decide to retain who you have.

Because by the time the Blazers are ready he’s going to be 33-34.

Zubac goes to make the salary work. They want to keep Mann and Powell so Zubac is the next best contract to make it work.

But let’s slow this down:
You think the team that has made a massive investment in Kawhi and PG13, with their window closing, is going to throw the kibash on a deal that would bring them a PG, a position they’ve been searching for for years, because ….wait for it…
They just can’t part with Ivica Zubac and his 28 minutes a night?

Bwahahahahaha!!!

I don't think they really want Harden.

If they do this it’s at the deadline and it’s to clear major cap space. 75 million in expiring contracts accounts for more than 50% of the total cap. That has value for a team in rebuild mode.
Name the last major free agent Portland signed. A broke down Pippen?

I shall get my popcorn and wait.

Nope. Dame gave them the first two weeks of Fa before making the Miami demand.
This is what baffles me, if all this is true how does Portland make that deal without finding out if it fit with Lillard staying? I guess sometimes I just need to accept how stupid some of these people are.

He has an agenda of dumping Harden and Harris.

He'll be tradeable by then barring injury.

You think it's going to take 4 years for Scoot to emerge?
I heard that about Tobias Harris and his deal. He’s still a Sixer.

Doesn’t mean that it’s worth paying the luxury tax in a rebuild. Players go where the money is.

Dumping Harris to take that grant deal is like rolling the clock back 4 years

It would be incredible as a Boston fan lol

Jody Allen also owns the Seahags, the Blazers are his pet project. He isn't worried.

Keep reaching,
This is why you’re poor. People with fuck you money didn’t get that way by pissing away money. Why be in the luxury tax level for a rebuilding team?

Who the fuck is poor? Not me. I will be retired before I hit 58-60.

You clearly do not understand Portland is the only game in town. No football, no baseball. Only basketball in the Blazers.....not going to look them up, but I am positive their attendance and revenue numbers are really good.

It was what it was, I said he should have been off the team. He would be in the environment we have today. Kind of weird to compare a 19 year old to Harden.
Harden hasn’t knocked any women out on video.

Maybe knocked them up.

But not out.

He’s a different kind of human garbage than Rice, Chris Brown, Joe Mixon, Kevin Porter Jr.

Then why spend at the luxury level?
