I see why the Sixers would make that deal in a second, I see no incentive for the Blazers at all. Getting older isn’t generally seen as a positive.
They aren’t. What are you talking about? Harden and Harris are expiring contracts. Grant can’t even be dealt until January 15th. As the trade deadline approaches Harris and Harden become even more valuable because they represent instant cap space for a rebuild. Additionally, the Sixers can send a 1st round pick and numerous 2nds.

Grant is a 5 year deal haha. They can get out from under that right away to fit their rebuild.

agree.....if this is something Philly wants to do only worry is Portland not waiting that long and finding something else they like sooner.

Yep. The Grant deal is going to be hard to deal. This is the first of a 5 year deal. Swapping that for money that comes off the books immediately next season has value for a team looking to rebuild.

Grant is only 29 and he can actually help someone. I expect he stays in Portland.

Rebuilding through free agency isn't as much of a thing these days. Rebuilding through trades and picks is. Trading for two guys that will ultimately only give you salary relief and maybe a pick 5 or 6 years down the line only works for the next GM, not the current one.

Why would Portland want him in a Post Dame world in which they’re rebuilding. 5 years?

Isn't that the guy with the "they only won on the scoreboard" take?

Buckyboy said so many goofy things not sure. But to me that scoreboard thing sounds more like kawhi-2-tatum.
