I never saw any reputable information that Houston wanted anything to do with Harden. It never made any sense, to me anyway, to put a guy like that with such a young team.

You might be right. But your point is debatable. What’s not debatable is that there’s no upside to Houston leaking this stuff. It makes no sense for those rumors to come from anywhere other than Harden’s agent.

I highly doubt that the league is going to be able to prove wrong doing on the part of the 6ers.

I also find it hard to believe Morey didn’t promise Harden something.

Harden is a lot of things. But he would not be acting this way unless he truly believed he was wronged by Morey.

I don’t doubt that James Harden got played by Daryl Morey. All that matters is whether or not anything illegal was done.

Agreed! I hate nationally televised games. They don’t do their homework. They show up and mail it in. They can talk about James Harden and Joel Embiid on a telecast but when it comes to the rest of the team they don’t know shit. I would much rather watch the local telecast.

I think BKS is just focused on this as a sign of respect. You have to check out Heat Twitter (or X) to understand it. I’ve never seen a fan base that cries more playing the disrespect card. They’re convinced that the league office hates them and the media doesn’t respect them. They should just change the name of the franchise to the Miami Karens.

The regional feeds on NBA TV can be just as (if not more) annoying with some of these blatantly homeristic crews. Those crews are often more cheerleaders than anything.

I think the latest decision (opting in) was all on Harden, a fall back move when nobody wanted to give him more on the open market.
