@Black Adam @trojanfan12

Hope neither of you had bad damage where you're at.

None here. I posted in the off topic thread that I'm disappointed in the storm. No lightning, no thunder, not much wind.

There was a good amount of rain, which was good though.

Closest to an issue we had was after my wife having me move her indoor plants outside so "they could get the good rain water"...I slipped a little bit when later I had to move them to under the patio cover because it was "raining too hard and they could drown". lol

Any mudslide issues in Cali? Those always seem to follow heavy rains...

Here's the thing..."wink, wink, nod, nod" or "handshake deals" happen all the time in the NBA. All anyone needs to know that's true is see how quickly deals are announced when FA starts.

So, it's possible, maybe even likely, that there was a "handshake deal" in place.

Given the dumb way they handled their tanking and that James Harden doesn't exactly seem to be "eaten up with intelligence" (as a friend of mine likes to say) I could see Morey being dumb enough to make that deal and either renege or try to change it...

and I can see Harden being dumb enough to get mad and complain about it publicly, potentially getting his deal voided.

Hopefully, for you Sixers fans, your version is the true version.

But lets not pretend that the version that @The Q is rooting for isn't also a possibility.

It's hard to imagine that Morey would be dumb enough to promise Harden a max contract last year. Way too many ways that would blow up in his face.

Really?

The guy who colluded/tampered with harden for the trade and then got caught cheating for tucker and theis?

Harden quit on the Rockets and forced his way out.

He forced his way outta Brooklyn.

And now he has issues with Philly.

I don't believe anything he says.

That has nothing to do with why Morey wouldn't make that promise.

Highly doubt that

Someone would have to sign and trade for him.

Which they could’ve done in July

The problem is most good teams already have a pg and are pushing the tax apron if not beyond it

Sure it does. All of those come with punishments that include loss of picks. He’s done it twice already

I haven't really been following it much. I know they're concerned about the burn areas, but I haven't heard of any yet.

A loss of picks is not why he wouldn't make that promise to Harden.
