Duke was red hot entering the tournament. Went a month without losing and should have won in UVA as well. ACC refs completely screwed them at the end of that game. They had a bad 3 week stretch from like mid Jan to early Feb but that was all

Not that simple.

He isn’t comfortable doing that.

Awkward matchup for both to be sure. But it isn’t as easy for the big to score as you are making it seem.

Beal isn’t Trae Young. He wouldn’t just let Oden walk him under the basket.

It’s awkward because the guards get ticked because that’s all the big guy does lol

Only if the big gets bored and stops backing him down lol
He starts at the top of the key and Oden did not have ball-handling skills unlike a lot of bigs today. Beal is quicker and can steal the ball too. Either way Oden would have to own every possession to win. I guess Beal could miss some wide open 10 footers but my money is on Beal winning....not so much now if he can't beat a 16 year old.

No.

Look, I don’t know what your experience is, but I am 5’11 and have beaten a lot of much bigger people in 1 on 1 in my time.

I have also watched a lot of talented kids play 1 on 1. Good Bigs can usually beat the lesser guards, but not the comparably talented ones.

Put a 6’4” all star guard with a bit of bulk against a 7’0 post player, I am betting on the guard every time.

Sounds like Beal wasn’t taking it too seriously until the kid started talking.

Betting if they played again Beal would thrash him.

Look at it this way from a normal, real world perspective. I had friends that were considered bigs, they are 6'4" or 6'5". I am 5'9". I was much quicker than they were, they had much better ball skills than Oden and they could shoot...I could still beat them even with my lack of size

Can’t wait

Dude doesn’t deserve too recruits

He took a loaded squad To a 4 seed and got run by a Tennessee team without its best defender (and starting pg)

1 5 star PG Jared McClain (and 3 4 star recruits) signed for 2023.
5 star SF Isiah Evans and 1 4 star recruit committed for 2024 thus far (with 4 more 5 star and 3 4 star recruits considering).
Offers to Flagg, Cameron Booker and Meleek Thomas (all 5 stars) for 2025 thus far.

It will take a catastrophe to hurt them in the short term.
