Decent article on what is probably the most common thing discussed with the Thunder, when does Presti have to act?

I think the Thunder totally did the right thing by standing pat.

The Rockets aren’t taking some big leap by flushing 20 mil a season down the toilet by overpaying that yippy, overgrown chihuahua, Brooks.

I like Fred for them.

But, he plays the same position that they were trying to force KPJ in and that’s 62 mil a year tied up in guys who aren’t great facilitators.

If the Thunder look like they can finish top 4 out West with a big swing, sure.

But, that would require Williams and Giddy to take leaps and Chet being spectacular, almost from the jump.

Otherwise, maybe take a smaller swing by consolidating some of those guards.

They have like 20 guaranteed contracts.

So, something has to give or they will have to eat multiple contracts.

To be fair this aint china lol. This is competitive international basketball ball
What is the difference? Both are going to be left open on the 3 point line. Rudy made one. Dwight made quite a bit. Both would likely never attempt one in the NBA

Rudy has a better chance since he actually plays in the NBA. I doubt Dwight returns.

Rudy will never have anything close to a jumpshot. He is 0-14 in his career. Plus Towns' jumpshot is so great they don't need him to be that guy

Who stays longer in Minny moving forward, Towns or Rudy?

I think the rockets will be good enough to not finish bottom 4, which means that first round pick should convey this year. I think we are a year away from the Thunder doing something pretty major. Picture 3 more first round draft picks being added in the next year. It’s not doable without some consolidation. I guess it’s doable but like you said they are going to be giving away assets other teams will value.

Who do you consider to be the 5 contracts most likely to be trimmed before the season starts?

Probably not.

But can’t knock a guy for trying to add to his game.

Doubt he ever makes his 3 point shot good enough to use in a game.

But I bet there were people saying the same thing about Brook Lopez before he actually got good.

Exactly players cant win on this board. They add nothing to their game like DeAndre Jordan and they get criticized. They try to expand their game and still get criticized

Agree they don't need that from him. But if he works on it. I think he could at least develop a serviceable jumper. Brooke Lopez has turned himself into a pretty dependable shooter. Although, to be fair, he already had some offensive skills that Rudy doesn't appear to have.

I think Robinson Earle is the biggest name that will be cut. His contract isn’t guaranteed. I think he will hang in the league a few years though. Tre Mann likely got himself another year with how he looked in rookie league. Poku still has too much upside to be given up on yet. It does seem like White and Garuba are fighting in camp for a spot. Guessing they just pay Oladipo and cut him loose. The most interesting one to me is Bertans. Most seem to think he will play the year here but I’m not so sure Presti is done with him.

Lifetime? :noidea:

I keed, I keed!

It's possible. I heard Team Canada is concerned about the babysitter stealing their husband and family. It'll fit in the schedule nicely
