Archibald over Bird is ridiculous. Tiny never elevated a team. He wasn't an elite guy even by that standard much less top 10 all time. The Celtics won like 25 games his first year there and then 60 when Bird arrived.

Considering Tinys teams didn't win a playoff series until he went to Boston he's not even top 100 to me

Tiny was basically poor man’s Allen Iverson.

Great player.

Not top 10, not top 30.

Maybe not even top 50.

Universal poll, consensus top 10.

Yup.

Dr. J kinda gets relegated to the Dominique Wilkins vs Jordan dunk contest status when it comes to these Alltime lists……FOR ME

Dude was AWESOME.

But, Jordan just surpassed him.

For whatever reason, it’s easy for those guys to accept that when it comes to MJ.

But, very few have the self awareness to do it with Lebron.

It makes me sick to my stomach to admit this.

But, Lebron was better than Magic, Bird, insert name not MJ and maaaaaaaaybe KAJ.

Them be the facts.

As for AI and Zeke…..

Top 20-25 consensus not top 10.

It is funny…

A lot of these guys do the same thing, whether they realize it or not.

They either totally leave off, or underrate players that threaten their legacy.

It is why Shaq was the only center on his list. I mean c’mon. The game was played through the 5 for 50 years. I believe Shaq belongs in the top 10. But so do Kareem, And probably Hakeem and Wilt.

MJ does the same thing in a different way when he says Bill Russell is GOAT.

Russell obviously wasn’t the GOAT. But that is MJ’s passive aggressive way of downplaying LeBron and over-emphasizing rings in the GOAT debate.

At least Shaq is honest by putting himself in the top 5. MJ should call himself GOAT too, because we all know that is what he believes.

It was Ballsy for the Celtics. They had actually agreed to trade for Garnett 1 week before the draft, but KG refused to sign an extension and would not waive the trade kicker so it fell apart. So when they traded for Allen they had no expectation of getting KG.

For Minnesota because of KG refusing instead of the #5 pick they got Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, and the pick they owed the Celtics.

So Jeff Green vs Gerald Green, Gomes, Johnny Flynn, and Wayne Ellington.

Nice.

I didn’t realize it went down like that.

Even more respect for what the C’s were able to pull off.

What do you expect the Davis extension to look like?

I think it will be a full ,ax with a players option in the last year.

It will be interesting to see if he signs the extension in season or waits until next summer.

Just depends on what length he wants (and when he wants to sign). It will be a max offer within those terms (140% raises when it doesn't exceed percentage of the cap).

I doubt the Lakers will be willing to risk losing him by playing with the length of the deal.

And he is at that time in his career where it might be his last max.

You think he is enough to get Portland to blink?

Yet another guard.

But, I like him at 6’7.

Maybe he can play some 3.

3-4 firsts, 2nds, Herro to a 3rd team, expiring contracts, young guys.

If Portland says no, not sure you can improve that offer.

Sounds like Lowry, not Duncan.

i doubt it. I think its a solid offer especially with no other offers on the table but portland will remain stubborn until at least camp. I think thats when the talks finally get serious because if dame reports to camp, it will be distraction for players and coaches as that's all they will be asked about

No, I meant how many years he wants. He may not want a full 5 year extension depending on what Lebron's future with the Lakers looks like.

AD turns 31 this season.

Would be pretty foolish of him to play that game. Could be leaving a lot of money behind.

AD going to want it all I bet.

Does this work for all 3 teams?

Portland: Lowry, Martin, Jacquez, Jovic, 2025 1st (Orl from Den), 2027 1st (Mia), 2029 1st (Mia)
Miami: Lillard, Anthony, Isaac
Orlando: Herro, 2026 2nd (Mia from LAL)

Portland gets 3 1sts (maybe some pick swaps?), a vet expiring PG for salary matching, and 3 solid young players.
Miami gets Dame and two players the Magic may move on from anyway that could still have value
Orlando gets Herro and a future 2nd
