Which is why I find all the Jaylen Brown talk so funny.

Most recently paid is highest paid.

Simple as that.
Yep...if he was a few years older is he even top 5 paid? Top 10?

Just happened to be lucky enough to hit free agency immediately after making all NBA.

Timing is everything.

Rent free etc.
Actually I think that process was started when Ant man said that. That’s Draymond. Unfortunately Edwards doesn’t have the help to pull it off.

Question about Simmons.

If he got to a team where he wasn't expected to be anything more than a sixth or seventh guy off the bench, Do you think he might somehow dis himself out of the hole he's in?

I could almost picture him coming off Boston's bench and actually make a difference.

Thoughts???

Might be the best approach with him.

At this point, with his apparent back issues, it might be too late.

But on a cheap deal it would be worth a try.

I could see him as a 5th option starter like Vando with the Lakers. Play strong D and be a secondary playmaker, but probably be the first guy subbed out for offensive firepower with the 2nd unit.

Of course, he needs to get that back sorted out.

Why would they if he only wants Miami and that's their offer? If he causes problems, he loses his goodwill with the fans.
Yup

Today David Wilson and Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald floated the following at the 3:30 mark of their “Heat Check” podcast: I don’t even know if I buy it 100 percent, but someone that has knowledge of what’s going on, they’re not even convinced that Portland wants to trade Damian Lillard at this point. It almost feels like they’re trying to find a way to maybe change his mind or delay this and see if Dame goes, ‘Well, I’ll just be part of this.

My guess is they just don't want to feel forced to trade him with only 1 team as an option.

Absolutely.

I think Dame has earned the right to not get shipped somewhere shitty.

But, he is being unreasonable.

Miami just doesn’t have the right assets.

Either they need to find a way to get them.

Or, he has to be open to other places.

It just sets a bad precedent and I hope Portland maintains this stance. These guys are getting crazy money for supposedly sticking with their team. If that is no longer the case the supermax should go away.
