Trade doesn't work. Miami has to give up another $2M or so in salary. Under the new CBA, as a supertax team the Heat can't add salary via trade.

Besides, if you think the Blazers didn't want Herro, they certainly don't want Duncan's contract.

The Clippers health will always be a question. Harden adds to that list with his soft tissue stuff over the last three years. That being said, Harden Kawhi PG and role guys around it would represent their best chance. If they don’t do this one, they might as well try and package Kawhi and PG and start their rebuild.
They should definitely consider moving one or both. I don't know about packaging them though, another team would be insane to take on both of them with their injury histories.

Wasn't there talk of the Clippers and Kawhi working towards an extension?

If they move one they need to move both. If they move one they’re closing their own window so you might as well move the other one too and start your rebuild.

They can add one more pick to that if they unprotect okc’s 2026 pick…

Wild how herro is holding this deal up…by Miami trying to move him

I don't believe they can even if they remove the protections from that 2025 pick. That makes 2027 and 2029 available. Picks move up a year is all.

With every passing day I like Antman more. First his stance on load management, now this? He’s a good dude.

I'm not sure on this one. Seems like a bit of a distraction that these young players seem to take too seriously as a shot to their ego. Some players make that work, but I don't know that the Wolves are the right atmosphere for that result.

Any team with Gobert and Towns on it is fd anyway, but I love the attitude.

The only problem with Gobert is that trade value. He's a mostly defensive role player that can be effective if used properly. Towns has the talent, but can't seem to put it all together. He could really use a strong vet and/or coaching presence to guide him. Bev was not that guy, and seemed to push him down the wrong path.

Gobert is flaky and Towns is soft.

Man, I love seeing this. I’m glad someone that matters sees what I see with this player. Let him cook!

Stephen A is making the case for Lillard to go to New York. Not exactly surprising lol.

They have picks, but the same issue pops up with SGs. Portland would not want Barrett or Fournier (and probably not Randle), so it's difficult to get salaries to match up (even if Dame was willing).

Tradeable SFs with value seem awfully hard to find, lol.

Both I guess, just doesn’t happen at that age.

Eh...it kinda does happen at that age. It's not common by any means, but it does happen. It's cardiac arrest, not a heart attack, so that might be where some of the confusion and shock is coming from. With cardiac arrest, there's a few underlying issues that could cause it to happen, most all of them being issues that would go undetected until something actually happens. Throughout all of sports (HS and college), there's something like maybe 100 cases a year. Rare compared to the thousands and thousands of athletes out there, but it does happen. Also I think people are more aware of it lately because some of those cases just happened to be more high profile names. Like if this happened to Bronny Smith in middle of nowhere Nebraska, no one hears about it.

Watching the press conference on Brown signing his new deal.

Mad respect for this guy. His parents raised a fine young man, not just a basketball player.

You keep bringing this up but its not that relevant for a pending free agent. He can play nice and ride out this season and next then leave for nothing. Not everyone can be James Harden. He probably does enjoy the guys but i do think he wants to play in a bigger market
OK.....and his words and actions might be what he's really thinking.

Either way, I suspect if they are not convinced he'll stay he'll be dealt next offseason if not sooner.

I was asked.....I didn't bring this up FYI.

I mean if he wants to come as a fa, sure, you figure it out
I don't see him going there as a FA as they'd pretty much have to do nothing to try and win more the next couple seasons to free up the cap space.......to maybe get him?

I’m not sure what the Knicks are doing

Quickly is one of their 5 best players and they keep adding former Villanova guards to play over him
