Look at my response to Q. I have no delusions that the Sixers can get Dame. At the same time, 1 year of expiring 39 is better than 4 years of 108 for a player they don’t want who would be worth even less value on the market when he gets exposed trying to play a role he can’t play in Portland. Should the Sixers just punt on Embiid? Because he’s the common denominator in all the 2nd round exits. So in Morey’s shoes you’re saying fuck it and tear it all down? You have a guy 1 or 2 for 3 straight years in the MVP race and you would have bailed?

As for moving off Embiid...it might be getting close to time to consider it. I'd have to see if there's a trade or 2 and/or an FA signing that could make the team a contender. Right now, they're a 2nd round exit team with very few options to improve.

Sixers didn’t lose because they acquired James Harden. Their Star and MVP candidate puckered in the last 5 minutes of a close out game. The Harden group set the high win total for the Sixers in the Embiid era. Harden wasn’t the problem. If we’re going back to what “everyone told me”. They told me that the Sixers couldn’t get anything close to the level of James Harden for the Simmons asset. You were one of the voices saying just dump him now. You would have settled for much less than what Morey got.

Who do you trade Simmons for? What’s the deal you take. And Harden wasn’t the problem. Embiid is the reason the Sixers have stalled.
