1 year of expiring contract at 39 million >> 4 years and 108 million of player you dont want.Like Portland wants any of the trash Philly would offer for Dame.
Harris expiring contract? LOL.
The gloves are off

Look at my response to Q. I have no delusions that the Sixers can get Dame. At the same time, 1 year of expiring 39 is better than 4 years of 108 for a player they don’t want who would be worth even less value on the market when he gets exposed trying to play a role he can’t play in Portland. Sit down, Ms Lippy. So Portland will trade Dame for an expiring contract? But not a good young player they can flip?
Ms Lippy is angryPortland wants an expiring contract because they want cap space because they are such a FA destination and attract players....
No it didn’t. I already said earlier there’s a high likelihood that the asset is damaged when Herro is asked to play a role as the alpha on the team and gets exposed. You ignored that comment and are doubling down on just trade him again.
@trojanfan12 tough loss bro. The board’s worst armchair GM is on your side. Rough.
Should the Sixers just punt on Embiid? Because he’s the common denominator in all the 2nd round exits. So in Morey’s shoes you’re saying fuck it and tear it all down? You have a guy 1 or 2 for 3 straight years in the MVP race and you would have bailed?lol @the guy who thought adding James Harden would make the Sixers a contender criticizing someone else's GMing.

Either that, or get him someone who could actually help.
And nice attempt at deflection. Everyone here told you getting Harden was a mistake, but you insisted everyone else was wrong.
If the Sixers don't get rid of Harden...you'll convince yourself again.
And if I was Morey, the Sixers wouldn't be in this position because I'd have known better than to trade for James Harden.
Then you’d have Ben Simmons…
Sixers didn’t lose because they acquired James Harden. Their Star and MVP candidate puckered in the last 5 minutes of a close out game. The Harden group set the high win total for the Sixers in the Embiid era. Harden wasn’t the problem. If we’re going back to what “everyone told me”. They told me that the Sixers couldn’t get anything close to the level of James Harden for the Simmons asset. You were one of the voices saying just dump him now. You would have settled for much less than what Morey got.Either that, or get him someone who could actually help.

No I won’t.If the Sixers don't get rid of Harden...you'll convince yourself again.
Who do you trade Simmons for? What’s the deal you take. And Harden wasn’t the problem. Embiid is the reason the Sixers have stalled. And if I was Morey, the Sixers wouldn't be in this position because I'd have known better than to trade for James Harden.
I’ve already posted that I would move on from Embiid. But when you say things like fool yourself into thinking the Sixers are a contender that emanates from Embiid and not Harden. The last 3 years of Embiid have been his best but that hasn’t translated to a rise in his playoff performances. Blaming this on Harden is a lazy opinion. As for moving off Embiid...it might be getting close to time to consider it. I'd have to see if there's a trade or 2 and/or an FA signing that could make the team a contender. Right now, they're a 2nd round exit team with very few options to improve.
What would you have dealt him for?No I wouldn't. I'd have traded him, just not for Harden.
