as I said I do like the guy and would take him over Doc but just don't know if there is much proof to your theory. Yeah, he did it with healthy Kawhi and no Lebron but I'm confident in saying as much as he was ripped, in that situation, Casey would have gotten the Raptors to the Finals.I think if we are talking regular season (and that’s the debate here on Sixers o/u 50.5) then Doc and Nurse are likely interchangeable. In fact, gun to my head, I give a slight edge to Doc. Where I’m thinking the difference lies is in the playoffs (at least I’m hoping). Nurse’s creativity with defensive schemes as well as his ability to tweak and adjust make him suited for playoff competition. In this area, he puts Doc to shame. People told me before he got here that he has blown so many playoff leads because when the other team adjusts to what he’s doing, he just doesn’t have a counter or an ability to adapt on the fly. I saw that show up in the most recent series with the Celtics. The Sixers had a 3-2 lead. Boston decided to go back to the starting lineup that employed both Horford and RWIII and as of July 13th, Doc still hasn’t adjusted to that maneuver from a coach I think most would agree was the weak link for the Celtics this year.
And if we are talking about over-under for the reg. season (which is how it started as you allude) your theory hurts Nurse as a so-called easy over.
