Nope, likely a good thing
For sure. In Miami, i can see him around 26-28 PPG which would be fine because regular season Jimmy will be around 21-23 PPG and Bam between 18-20 PPG

could it be like what was said in the Howard Stern movie when talking about why the listeners who like him and hate him listen? Most common answer for both was "I want to hear what he says/does next."
Only football gets mega ratings in the US, so what?I'm saying the NBA is not a ratings contender in the US. We all watch, but who else does without a headlining star involved?
The midseason tournament is an effort to bolster ratings. I don't see that working necessarily though. Silver is trying gain ground.Only football gets mega ratings in the US, so what?
He doesn't need to do that with Miami or any other good team he may end up on
I agree it’s an attempt to help negotiationsThe midseason tournament is an effort to bolster ratings. I don't see that working necessarily though. Silver is trying gain ground.
Olynyk is expiring. They can throw anyone in the deal as long as they give picksUtah is apparently interested in taking on Herro, but giving up who? Portland isn't going to want Collins, Clarkson, Sexton or THT. Will they move Lauri?

Sure why not try stuff? This one is dumb but at least it doesn't add games or disrupt the seasonThe midseason tournament is an effort to bolster ratings. I don't see that working necessarily though. Silver is trying gain ground.

It isnt the same though. The commish need to stop trying to fool people. In soccer, there are always teams added. It isn't rhe same 20 teams from the EPL in the tourney. Why is it dumb?
It works for the most popular sport in the world.
They would accept trent but not Herro? Lol got it

If they wanted to achieve that then having it so early in the season was dumb. Early season games are usually competitive. Would have made sense if it took place in the middle of season when tanking/load management is really happening. Those things dont usually happen in NovemberBut this isn't going through the lengths of adding a competition in the likes of the FA Cup and Europa/Champions League that top teams compete in.
This is literally using regular season games as a tournament game and adding one additional Finals game.
There's no additional complexity to it.
The idea is to make regular season NBA games more competitive and watchable and (to me at least), this would be a good way of achieving that.
I just don't see anyone including the fans care one way or the other but as I said fine by me if they try itWhy is it dumb?
